The hotel

This intimate hotel offers simple wholesome Mauritian hospitality and sits in lush, tropical gardens, across the road from a lovely beach. There is a generous array of activities and sports on offer, and make sure you discover some of the hotel's Otentik experiences — a Mauritian cookery class, maybe a home-cooked dinner in local home or enjoy local music and sega dancing at sunset. Alternatively, there are two lovely pools, an outdoor terrace and a spa offering a range of signature treatments, making it a little bit too easy to do absolutely nothing! The cosy guest rooms have a cool and contemporary style, just ready and waiting for you to kick back and relax in.

We really enjoyed our stay at Coin de Mire Attitude! The staff are great! Special shout outs to Jayraj and Avinum at the bar who looked after us for our stay and were very attentive and always had a smile on their faces. Also a mention for Raees who always came to say hello when he saw us and have a chat. He also recommended a lovely Indian restaurant up the road m, Indian Tadka that was amazing! The beach is opposite the hotel and the sunsets there are beautiful! We visited 6 beaches in the area and the best one was Troux aux biches which is stunning and costs 800 rupees (£13 approx) by taxi out the front of the hotel and while there you can swim with turtles for around 700rupees (£12 approx). The food way great! My husband and I are very fussy but always found something we liked and there is always pizza and pasta for dinner. We booked tours through Get Your Guide before we travelled and I would highly recommend trips: 1. The North (botanic gardens, sugar factory) 2. The South (statues, rum factory, 7 colours) 3. 5 Island Tour There’s a little shop for snacks about 10 mins up the road if you turn left out of the hotel and if you keep walking for another 10 mins, you’ll find a big supermarket and just up from that is Pereybere beach which is lovely. I am a diver and was recommended MyBase diving in Pereybere. They were great and will collect and take you home. Please look out for a lovely little dog who we made friends with, she loves a fuss!! Unbelievable experience. The Coin De Mire is by far the best hotel we've stayed at. We're only into our third day of a two week all inclusive stay. The room is absolutely beautiful "we did upgrade to a superior room whilst booking" but the food and the extremely helpful/friendly staff are what really makes this place extra special. From the first encounter with Nandeeni and Leena I knew we'd made the right choice in choosing Coin De Mire. Back to the food wow it's unbelievable, the selection is phenomenal and the quality is 1st class. I think I've gained a stone already. Impossible to mention all the staff that have impressed us so far but Amey and Bhakesh are incredible always.aking sure you are happy and providing excellent service with a welcome smile. Don't know the names of the guys that run the water sports on the beach but again so nice and helpful. I know the rest of our stay is going to be unforgettable in a good way. It is at least a five star experience Thank you all at Coin De Mire Read less
