This intimate hotel offers simple wholesome Mauritian hospitality and sits in lush, tropical gardens, across the road from a lovely beach. There is a generous array of activities and sports on offer, and make sure you discover some of the hotel's Otentik experiences — a Mauritian cookery class, maybe a home-cooked dinner in local home or enjoy local music and sega dancing at sunset. Alternatively, there are two lovely pools, an outdoor terrace and a spa offering a range of signature treatments, making it a little bit too easy to do absolutely nothing! The cosy guest rooms have a cool and contemporary style, just ready and waiting for you to kick back and relax in.

In the north of Mauritius, close to the beach near Cap Malheureux. Approximately 4km from lively Grand Baie. The lovely beach is situated across the road in front of the hotel. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

122 rooms on 2 floors in buildings throughout the gardens. All rooms have a garden view, balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, TV, WiFi, tea/coffee-making facilities, mini-bar* and safe. Superior Rooms with 1 double-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleep maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. Interconnecting rooms available.

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast in Le Cap restaurant, lunch in Le Cap restaurant or Taba-J (traditional Mauritian street food), and dinner in Le Cap restaurant or Kot Nou (reservations required, open 4 times per week). Local beverages including water, tea, coffee, local beer, soft drinks, local wines and local spirits 11:00am–11:00pm. Selected drinks from the mini-bar. Afternoon tea/coffee and pastries. Local snacks served with evening drinks. Picnic basket for guests on day excursions. 20% discount on one 'Mauritian massage' between 9:00am–2:00pm (minimum stay 5 nights). Selected land and watersports and entertainment.

“My stay at Coin de Mire 6-15 October 2025 was in one word: GREAT!”

My stay at Coin de Mire 6-15 October 2025 was in one word: GREAT! The accomodation looks beautiful and modern. Although its a 3 star hotel, you will have everything you could think of: gym, spa, laundry service, 2 swimmingpools, 2 restaurants and beach in front of hotel! The staff in general is amazing...always friendly and helpful. Every day i was welcomed with a smile! For example: Raees, the animator was there in the morning to recommend interesting excursions to me, at 5pm he took me for a walk to a nice sunset and a few hours later he was DJ-ing in the hotelbar and making people dance! Also the 2 bartenders Tesaven and Nana were new in the team but already understood hospitality and service with a smile! The food in the restaurant was quite extensive at breakfast and dinner/buffet. For Lunch i could order a la carte (beef, fish) and there is 2nd restaurant Kot Nou where you can try real local Mauritian flavours! Gorret and Chevrina were my favourite waitresses! Coin de Mire is well located only 4 km from Grand Baie and 2 km from Cap Malheureux. At the beach of the hotel you could book several excursions to Chamarel, Ile Aux Cerf, Le Morne, Port Louis etc. Coine de Mire hotel is absolutely recommended by me! Go & Try to visit!

“Nice stay for a week”

Pros: Good food selection, with lots of options for vegetarians! Also ate at Kot Nou, which we really enjoyed sitting outside. Good sized rooms. Lots of communal seating areas so never feels overcrowded. No issues getting sunbeds by the pool. Good little baby pool. Free towels for pool / beach. Good drinks selection. Cons: Ordered the same drink several times and it was different each time! Bar staff were polite and friendly to guests but saw them arguing between themselves on several occassion, which was very unprofessional. Long transfer time - took about 2 hours in rush hour. The road it’s on is VERY loud, which ruins the vibe and doesn’t feel especially safe to cross for the beach. Reception staff had NO clue about any questins we asked them - didn’t know about any of the entertainment options, etc. Overall, 3 stars is a fair rating and we had a great week.
