From the moment we arrived at Le Méridien Mauritius, it was clear this was going to be a truly special experience, and it exceeded every expectation. As someone who spends half the year staying at Marriott properties around the world, I know exactly what great hospitality looks like, and this stay was right up there with the very best. A very special mention must go to Ismail, the Manager of Nirvana, whose professionalism and dedication were evident throughout our entire stay. You can clearly see that he is deeply experienced and has an intimate understanding of Mauritius and what guests truly need here. He was always on hand, ensured everything ran seamlessly, and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alessandro, the General Manager, whose warmth and professionalism set the tone for our visit. It is rare to encounter a GM who is so genuinely present and engaged, and his deep knowledge of the destination and its hospitality was clear in every interaction. It spoke volumes about the culture he has cultivated at this property. Our butlers Kesaven and Nunkoo were simply outstanding, and these two are true veterans of the location. Their knowledge of Mauritius, its rhythms, and what makes a stay here special was evident in everything they did. Attentive without being intrusive, always one step ahead of our needs, and consistently going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Nunkoo, who has dedicated an extraordinary 27 years to this property, is a walking testament to what genuine hospitality looks like. That kind of loyalty and experience is incredibly rare and you feel it in every interaction. Together with Kesaven, they made us feel like royalty from the very first day. The food was exceptional, beautifully presented, delicious, and varied. Every meal was a pleasure, and the dining team matched the same high standards of attentiveness we experienced across the board. The staff as a whole deserve a standing ovation. Everyone we encountered was warm, eager to assist, and committed to making our experience as enjoyable as possible. That level of care, experience, and attention is rare and truly sets Le Méridien Mauritius apart. We will absolutely be returning. If you are looking for a hotel where the service is as breathtaking as the surroundings, look no further. “A milestone celebration made unforgettable by people, not just a place”

We chose Le Méridien Ile Maurice to celebrate two milestones — a 26th wedding anniversary and a 55th birthday — and the resort did not just meet our expectations, it redefined them entirely. If TripAdvisor allowed a 12 out of 10, that is exactly what this property would earn. From arrival to departure, every interaction reflected warmth, genuine care, and a culture of excellence that is impossible to manufacture. It has to be lived — and at Le Méridien Ile Maurice, it clearly is. Riaz — a standout from the very first cappuccino he prepared for us. His service during the Dinner in White experience was world-class. One phrase will stay with us long after returning home: "At your service." He didn't just say it — he demonstrated it in every interaction. Jade Restaurant — the team here was consistently professional, attentive, and proactive. Breakfast each morning was a highlight: fresh, beautifully presented, and varied enough that there was simply no reason to dine elsewhere. They made us feel like family, not guests. Explore Spa — Vanisha, Devina, and Rachel were exceptional. We enjoyed three treatments including a Khizi-Bolus Ayurvedic massage and a Beauty Empress anti-ageing treatment. Their skill, warmth, and calming presence turned each session into a genuine wellness experience. Ismail (Manager) — hands-on, visible, and genuinely engaged with guests. His support, including facilitating a late check-out, reflected authentic leadership. Devraj & team at Nirvana Pool Bar — always made us feel recognised as individuals, never just a room number. Angele also deserves a special mention for service that truly embodied excellence. Other unforgettable moments included the floating breakfast and the immaculate grounds — always spotless, always welcoming. What sets this property apart is not its facilities (impressive as they are) but its people. Every staff member greeted us, engaged with us, and genuinely seemed to care. We arrived as guests and departed feeling like family. Highly, highly recommended.

“Great experience at Le Meridien Ile Maurice, Mauritius”

We stayed at Le Meridian for 6 nights; it’s on the North West coast of Mauritius at Pointe aux Piments. One of the primary reasons was the Indian restaurant which gave us comfort that veg food would be available. The resort is great and has a private beach with some water activities like snorkeling, glass bottom boat tour etc; there is kid’s play area also. Parking space at the resort itself is limited but there’s an additional parking space for the guests just on the opposite road. Suites are spacious with amenities such as bath tub, safe, enough storage space. We got an upgrade - a Beach suite with opening to the private beach area. There are 4 restaurants - Nomad (buffet & breakfast), Jade (Asian), Kumin (Indian), & Waves (sea food). Veg options are available at all restaurants especially at Nomad & Kumin. Jade & Waves have limited veg options. Nomad spread is great and has good vegetarian options. Table reservation is required and recommended at restaurants except Nomad. Table may not be easily available for walk in. While menu size could be limited, food tastes great. Overall, staff was courteous and cooperative. Kumin staff was very cooperative & accommodating. Thank you Loveraj, Umesh, Pooja, Pravesh, Archismita, Sawan, Roshan. Special shout out to Jaya from the Guest Relations team. Right from the check-in process to extending late check out, she’s very helpful. While overall it’s been a great property and experience, couple of areas have improvement opportunities: - Front desk efficiency is the foremost area where improvement can be done. Too much time taken for check in & check out. And it’s not just my observation but few others also felt it. - For instance, while checking out, there’s only 1 person manning that desk while at guest relations there were about 4 people standing & chatting. No one came to help this guy at check in/ checkout counter despite long wait and queue. Few of us requested the guest relation team to help this guy but they flatly refused. - Getting past operator for table reservations, in-room dining or housekeeping requirements was challenging - Compartmentalisation of jobs meant too many touch points for your needs & a Chinese walk to cross Marriott Group need to look at these processes and we felt there’s scope for improvement there. Otherwise, overall, an experience to cherish!! Le Meridian Ile Maurice is recommended!!
