A special thank you to Essen, the Restaurant Manager, for his attentive service and for making sure everything was perfect for our celebration. We also had a fantastic wine tasting experience with the sommelier, Ritesh. The food was absolutely excellent — beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Huge thanks to Chef Anoop, David, and the entire kitchen team for a wonderful culinary experience. The Bar Team also deserves a special mention. Long Beach isn’t a 5 star resort, not by a long way, but it is a good 4 star. Some facilities are excellent, namely the Spa, boat house, and kids club, those aspects were worthy of the 5 star rating. The beach is sublime, one of the best we’ve seen, and the coral reef has some good healthy corals and thousands of fish. They have a glass bottom boat they take you out twice a day at 11am and 3pm, we went both times every day. The pools are ok, nothing to write home about, but enjoyable and relaxing. Although the resort is big, it’s very well laid out, so you never have to walk too far, we stayed in 217, which was the perfect location, close to the Spa, kids club, and boat house. Food: This is a tricky one because some of the food was great, however the high end restaurants that cost an additional amount above the board basis were terrible. We tried them all and this is our experience. Tides: very good, the Mauritian curry’s in particular were good at lunch. Very fast service and great setting on the beach. The dinner was also excellent, they cooked the lobster properly and it was a nice experience with a good vibe. There was a seating area set away from the main area, this was great as it felt exclusive and private. Hasu: we couldn’t work out why this wasn’t included on the HB/FB/AI packages as this was the worst of the restaurants. At most other resorts the Japanese restaurant is a real standout, they also didn’t have any Teppenyaki dining. Chopsticks: this was awful, the man at the front desk was rude and standoffish, we waited 2hrs for our mains to arrive, by which time our kids were almost asleep. The food wasn’t good, and we paid extra for high end items like lobster and giant prawns. Extremely disappointing. Le Marche: this is the buffet restaurant, it was very good both times we went there, the vibe was nice and excellent food, which has a different theme each night, the Indian evening was sublime. This is also where they do the breakfast buffet, it was good, with a fresh crepe and omelet station. Although the sausages tasted strange and I couldn’t eat them. My wife said the same. Sapori: the Italian restaurant, was excellent, the steak was cooked to perfection and great flavours in the sauce. The pizza was also good and my wife commented that the pasta dishes were very well cooked. A special mention to the kids club, it was the best we’ve ever experienced. Open 10am - 21:30pm, so many activities for free. The kids just loved it! Read less

Fabulous Resort – A Perfect 50th Birthday Getaway! We had the most incredible stay at this resort – it truly exceeded our expectations. The grounds are stunning, and the staff are absolute 5-star quality across the board. I won’t single out anyone in particular because every single person, from the cleaners and groundskeepers to the chefs, waiters, and bar staff, was amazing. Their warmth and attentiveness made our holiday truly special. The rooms were fabulous—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. While the toilet privacy could be improved, it wasn’t a dealbreaker for us. I celebrated my 50th birthday during our stay, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We spent every single day on the beach—it's simply too beautiful not to. The beach call button service was an absolute dream! We mostly enjoyed drinks, and by the end of our trip, the beach staff knew us so well we barely had to ask. Dining Highlights: Tides quickly became our favourite lunch spot—the Mauritian curry was to die for! Breakfast offered a great variety: fresh fruit, eggs (including an omelette station), French sticks, ham, and more. The bacon, however, was consistently overcooked and barely edible, which was a shame over 10 days—definitely an area for improvement. Also, charging for fresh juice at breakfast felt out of place for a resort of this standard. Evenings were best spent at Chopsticks and Sapori. Chopsticks offered not only delicious food but also a lovely atmosphere where you could watch the chefs cook. Sapori served the best spaghetti aglio e olio I’ve ever had, and the fresh pizzas were a dream. We found the buffet a bit limited, so stuck with the à la carte options. I had requested a ground-floor room near the beach ahead of my birthday. Initially, this wasn’t available, but the staff made my birthday dream come true by moving us to Room 503 the night before. It was a wonderful gesture and a lovely spot, just behind the water sports area. The only slight disappointment was that the Mojito Bar near us was closed—hopefully, it reopens soon! We made a point to tip daily because the staff genuinely deserve it, and their appreciation was clear. Would I recommend this resort? Absolutely. We’re already planning to return next year! Read less
