I recently attended a barista class with Sylvano in Lux Grand Gaube and it exceeded all my expectations! From start to finish, the experience was both educational and fun. The instructor was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about coffee, which made the learning process so enjoyable. We learned everything from the basics of espresso extraction and milk frothing to latte art. The hands-on approach really helped me understand the techniques and boosted my confidence in making café-quality coffee at home. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just curious, I highly recommend this class to anyone visiting the island. It’s a unique and enriching experience that makes for a great memory and a delicious skill to take home! Read less

It’s even better than the pictures!! Amazing views, clean rooms, attentive and friendly staff. Lots to do at the resort and lovely restaurants to try. Especially loved Sylvano’s service at Cafe Lux. Best for honeymooners and families though, not that targeted to solo travelers or younger people but still enjoyable!

We booked this break last August based on a recommendation from a friend and have been looking forward to it since then. Both my other half and I are both 40 this year (hitting the milestone myself just before arriving - Lux Grande Gaube did not disappoint. We came in June which is the start of the 'winter' here but it was still glorious and most days 27+ degrees. It was breezy at times but that was much needed to keep us cool so very welcome, especially if you want to spend a long time by the pool. The hotel itself is in a fantastic location, in a lagoon inside a reef which means there are no rough waves and the beachside waters can still be enjoyed even if the ocean is rough. Around the resort are banyan trees, coconut laden palms and tropical birds of all descriptions which is lovely to see. They're very conscious of waste and ensuring they reuse and recycle anything they can. Our room was a Junior Wellness Suite overlooking a small bay area and first thing in the morning you can see the fish jumping around. The room was spacious and had a fan and aircon which made sleeping really easy despite the tropical warmth outside. There was a large bath and a shower large enough to host a party 😆 Food here is excellent. The Palm Court buffet has a great selection of high quality items at breakfast and dinner from pancakes to pasta, Asian to American and then Indian inspired curries. The a la carte restaurants are fantastic with Bodrum Blue being a particular favourite whilst we were here. Beach Rouge also brought me a birthday surprise to make becoming 40 a bit easier 😆 Activities to try: Barista coffee making: Sylvano had been great all week and super friendly when we'd been ordering coffees so we thought we'd give it a try ourselves. It's much harder than we thought to perfect the technique like Sylvano has but incredibly fun nonetheless. We even got to create some foam artwork, my other half was really happy with the bear she made so I've shared the picture here. Thank you Sylvano - you are brilliant! Wine tasting: Vimal was a great host, a super knowledgeable sommelier who not only allowed us to drink quality wines but also have a chat about how they're made, what to look for and up and coming areas of the world that are producing great wines to try. Junkyard Crafts: Mario is hilarious, challenges us with his riddles and even does a nature walk on some mornings around the resort showing the various plants, trees and birds resident to the area. The crafts area really shows how the resort makes every effort to recycle and reduce waste. We made a plush Dodo out of a former hotel slipper. We're very proud of it 🙂 this is one of those places that you don't think to try straight away but once you've visited once you'll probably find yourself there again expressing your creative side. Other staff members we'd like to mention: Adult Pool area: Kumar, Ansh, Asif - not only are they great at providing the poolside service but the little touches really make the experience. Simple things like remembering the room, drinks you like and even just a friendly chat. Also note that for lunch a burger from BBs really hits the spot. I couldn't resist one however much I tried 😂 Palm Court Bar: Dookhan and Dhayan. Happily make any drink you want even though I usually just indulged my Coco Loco addiction on a nightly basis 😄 This is a great spot to grab a drink before heading off to one of the restaurants for dinner although they do have a snack menu of you're a bit peckish ahead of time. Breakfast: Sandivan and Jonas were lovely and despite how busy it can be at this time they were attentive and would regularly check if we had everything we needed, always super friendly. Check in: Yosra was super welcoming and made the check in process seamless. The staff really made this resort experience and everyone we spoke to was excellent, super attentive and couldn't do enough to make your stay extra special in whatever way they could. We'd recommend this resort to anyone wanting a super relaxing break in a tropical paradise. Thank you Lux Grande Gaube for making the trip extra special for us. We will return! Read less

I had a great experience with the hotel driver, manoj. He was very professional, always on time, and drove safely. From the first day, he greeted us with a smile and made sure we were comfortable during every ride. The car was always clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was really nice he is a really professional guide too
