There is one word that describes our stay at the Lux Le Morne and that word is Incredible. It was the best and most incredible experience we have ever had in Mauritius which truly exceeded all our expectations. We stayed in a Deluxe Room on the ground floor, which was ideal for us—spacious even with the extra single bed, stylish, and very convenient. We were a few steps away from the gardens, the pool and the beach. The private terrace was an ideal spot to lounge around. We loved dining at The Kitchen. The breakfast and dinner buffets were absolutely fantastic, with so much choice and everything freshly cooked in front of you The breakfast buffet included tropical fruits, fresh juices, freshly baked breads, eggs and omelettes made to order by the wonderful Chef Celestine Each evening there was a themed buffet offering a wide variety of dishes that catered for every taste. Mauritian specialities are accompanied by French, Italian, and seafood buffets throughout the week. There was always something new and delicious to try. The Indo-Mauritian buffet on a Wednesday was outstanding. Sarita and her friend, who cooked the fresh Dal Puri and Faratas were brilliant. Chef Nazeea‘s gato pima (Chilli bites) were so delicious that it was difficult not to go back again and again to have more. The choice of desserts was mind blowing! We loved sitting in the bar after dinner and enjoying a local rum or two while playing card games and listening to the live music. Sunsets over the Indian Ocean are something else. Every sunset at the Lux Le Morne was a beautiful event, whether we were watching from the beach with our feet in the sand or from the comfort of the bar. The grounds were immaculate, with lush tropical plants surrounding every pathway and building. It felt like walking through a botanical garden rather than a hotel. We loved the Tropical Veg Garden outside our room. The beach at the Lux* Le Morne is stunning. Soft golden sand, clear turquoise water, and views of the iconic Le Morne Brabant behind. You can walk for miles along the Le Morne coast. From our room, it was maybe a 2-minute walk to the beach. Sun loungers and huge fluffy bean bags are always available, and the beach never felt crowded. The Teams from the pool bars were at your service with anything that you want from the bar. All you had to do is press the button next to your sun-lounger. The Flavoured water to helped keep us hydrated and the little treats was a lovely touch We booked a couple of sessions at the Lux* Me spa for my wife and son, and they loved every peaceful, deeply relaxing moment. A true oasis of calm and serenity.   As stunning as the hotel is, the absolute standout aspect of our stay was the incredible service we received from the entire team at the Lux Le Morne. The warm and personal welcome at reception by the wonderful Seshna, Deshna, Jason set the standard. Every member of the front desk team was so helpful and always made the time to chat and answer any questions. A big thank you to Isabel for making our stay so special, and for the wonderful send off. The incredibly friendly and attentive staff in The Kitchen are a credit to the Lux* Group Cindy and Alain made us feel like royalty every time we came to eat. Brigitte who always greeted us with her wonderful smile. Nadeem, Nirmal, Sonam, Jimmy, Kaushik and Eva who always took care of everything we needed while we dined. Abi and his team for the wonderful coffee every morning Chef Saurabh for checking in to make sure everything was just right. A very special mention for the wonderful Chef Vishal for the incredible Mauritian dinner he made for us one evening, for the Masala Chai at breakfast, for taking the time to speak with us every time we came to eat, and for everything else he did to make our stay unforgettable. Thanks to Balee, Manish and Nitrishk from The Bar for sharing some of the best Mauritian rums, and to Tsoa and Euleli for the smiles and service. The perfect way to end the day. Hans, for taking the time for a chat during his busy day. Dylan and Mattieu from the beach and pool teams A big thanks to Geeta from housekeeping for taking care of our room and the wonderful cake sculpture made from towels!!! Thank you to Bianca and the Celebration Corner team for arranging the delicious birthday cakes that made the day an extra special memory Every single member of staff we met went out of their way to make our stay feel special. Every interaction felt genuine and made us feel like we were family, from the moment we arrived, to the moment we got into the taxi for the airport. Thank you to everyone at LUX* Le Morne for giving us such an unforgettable experience, and there is no doubt that we will be returning home to our Lux* Le Morne family in the not-too-distant future Read less

We stayed at Lux Le Morne as part of our honeymoon trip for 10 nights. The resort is absolutely breathtaking. The resort is situated at the foot of Le Morne mountain, which serves as the most beautiful back drop to the hotel. The beach is protected by a coral reef which means the sea is a lagoon on this part of the island, it was shallow, warm and perfect for swimming. We spent many of our days on the beach, there were ample sunbeds, towels and beanbags available, making it so easy to hop between the beach, pool and sea (we sat near the heated pool). We took advantage of many of the free water activities available to us, which were bookable at the beach house. We went on the glass bottom boat trip (we saw different things every day! including a turtle 3 times and a sting ray). We also went on the snorkeling trip. We also took out kayaks and pedalos each day, but there were also paddleboards available. The water is so shallow and calm so it's the perfect way to admire the mountain. We visited in the winter season but the weather was perfect for us, we did need to use the heated outdoor pool though which was wonderful! In terms of food, the main restaurant was great, especially for breakfast! There is a huge buffet selection available. For lunch, we ordered food to our sunbeds which was a fantastic service. For dinner, we booked in at the Beach Restaurant for 4 nights of our stay, the service was fantastic and the food was beautiful I particularly loved the fresh seafood. The pool bar also offers a variety of ice cream which was wonderful. We received spectacular service throughout our stay, especially from the staff at the pool bars and main restaurant (particular shout out to Alonzo + Jay at the main restaurant who were so tentative and friendly). Shahil at the pool bar also really did put in the effort the may our visit special, on one day he put out towels on our favourite sunbeds for us, he also coordinated with his team while he was off to ensure they gave me a surprise on my birthday, which was a wonderful cocktail in a coconut with my name etched in the side. During our whole holiday he made sure we received the best service, took the time to chat to us, and also introduced us to new cocktails to try each day! The bar manager also made a point of remembering our names and greeting us daily. It really did feel like we got such a personal experience, all of the staff were so friendly. We also upgraded our honeymoon meal to be in the treehouse which i'm so glad we did, it was such a magical experience. My husband also booked the treehouse for a birthday breakfast for me to celebrate my 30th birthday whilst on honeymoon, I couldn't recommend the treehouse more! The hotel also made my birthday special by putting a cake in our room! The only downside to the hotel is that the rooms can smell damp, when we arrived we were given a ground floor room and it really smelt bad but we were quickly moved to another room. However, this was also a ground floor room which smelt (but not as bad) given we were staying for 10 nights, as part of our honeymoon and 30th birthday trip we did raise it with a tour rep who got us moved to an upper floor room by the second night which was perfect. The rooms are beautiful nevertheless! Read less

My husband and I went to Lux Le Morne for our honeymoon. The resort got recommended to us by family and acquaintances, we had also never been on Mauritius before. What an experience we had, outstanding! Spacious rooms, many choice on F&B outlets/restaurants (with high quality), a perfect beach with service whilst you relaxed there, plenty of activities and recommendations by the resort and more. Above all, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. Always ready for you and assisting you in any way possible. Hospitality is next level, or actually the way it should be. We can only recommend! Our special thanks go out to Executive Chef Saurabh, Vik (chef at Vik’s) and Bianca from the celebrations team. Together with their teams, they made us feel right at home. Recommendations: book an experience with Vik, go snorkelling with the boat house team, hike Le Morne Mountain (we did without a guide), go on a day trip around the South with a taxi driver (we recommend Akshay, he works with the resort). We can’t wait to come back in the future! Read less
