Preskil Island Resort is a ok hotell, but you can definitely get better options at Mauritius. This was our third trip to Mauritius, and we will definitely come back soon to Mauritius, but probably not to Preskil Island Resort. It is nothing wrong with the hotel in general, and the staff are very polite and perform good service (some exceptions at the buffet restaurant), but the location is a little bit windy when you are located at the south east coast of the island (maybe the windy conditions are ok in January to March when the temperature is higher). Our room was ok (we had the biggest and best of the hotel, room 4128 which is the best of the junior suites). The options of food and the number of restaurants could definitely have been better. To crowed at the buffet restaurant at dinner (better at lunch). The restaurant called 1810 was not available even if you had all inclusive as we had. The restaurant called Mosaic was nothing special. We tried that two times. Mosaic had very few dishes available for all inclusive guests. My advise to the management at Preskil is to look into all the eating places at the hotel, and maybe rebuilt and have some new thoughts to get at least 3-4 places to choose from when it comes to restaurants. Maybe get an Italian pizza oven to offer good Italian pizzas? We have experienced that earlier at other hotels on Mauritius. Today you in practice only have one place to eat at Preskil, and that is the buffet restaurant. I would also mention the Medley bar at the hotel which was a very positive experience. Always quick response when ordering drinks, and very nice and polite staff working there. The guys at the boat house was also very helpful and always performed excellent service. The all inclusive was ok. Maybe some more options of wine could have been included, but it was ok for us. The price level of drinks at the hotel is high, so you save a lot by having all inclusive (as on every resort at Mauritius).
