Situated in the marine village of Azuri, in Haute Rive on the north-eastern coast of Mauritius. 20 minutes drive from buzzing Grand Baie, 15 minutes from Pamplemousses Botanical Garden and 10 minutes from sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette (adult only). 25km from the capital, Port Louis, with its malls, shopping streets, and central market. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

“Laid back vibes”

This was our second visit to Mauritius but our first visit to this hotel. The hotel is extremely laid back (they don’t enforce the long trousers for men in the evenings). The shining star of the hotel is their staff. Everyone is absolutely wonderful, so friendly and accommodating, they genuinely cannot do enough for you. Special mention to Romesh, Josh and Said. The all inclusive package is one of the most generous we have ever experienced. Even down to trips run from the hotel, such as stargazing at the Nine, shuttle to Flacq market, hiking to Bras d’Eau, kayaking in the mangroves. All included. Food was excellent in all restaurants but our favourite was possibly The Nine. Options for children at first appeared limited, but a few days in we realised we could order chicken and chips etc in the buffet restaurant so on occasions when the buffet didn’t suit our son he was well catered for - they could perhaps have advertised this though as we only realised by accident. The beach was perhaps our one slight disappointment. It is exposed to the tradewinds, which wasn’t a huge surprise, but it impacts the activities on offer. So snorkelling was cancelled most days and the swimming platform didn’t go out at all, which was disappointing. It’s not ideal for swimming from the beach either due to rocks etc. However, the pool is heated and lovely, so we spent most of our time there instead. We had a lovely conversation with the manager as we were leaving, and gave him feedback about the room. We were travelling as a family of 3 but provision wasn’t made in our room for that other than an extra bed. Therefore only two bottles of water, two glasses, two chairs at the outside table etc. and double bedding folded onto a single bed. Not a huge problem but it perhaps made us feel that being a 3 was an inconvenience somehow. The manager took all that on board and I think we had perhaps been unlucky because it sounds like our experience isn’t what should have happened. One excellent facility is the lounge for those who are too early to check in or need to stay beyond their check out time. It has lockers, sofas and showers. So even though we’d checked out at lunch time we were still able to use the buffet restaurants, get drinks and use the showers before we left in the early evening. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Mauritius then we would certainly consider staying here again, mostly because of how wonderful the staff are and how well they looked after us. If you want a pure beach holiday then this might not be the best spot, but otherwise I would recommend.

I went to this hotel for nine nights. What can I say the hotel is beautiful inside and out. The manager vinay greet us and explained what facilities and activities are available to us. On our tours outside of the hotel he gave us a detailed map and places to see. He is an excellent manager. The restaurant manager Ramesh was also polite and friendly. His staff josh and Alison was kind and friendly always happy to help and smiling all of the time. They made our holiday a memorable one. I would recommend this hotel.

We had a nice stay at Radisson Blu Azuri and the service was very wonderful and awesome food was great also, the vibe we had would there was beautiful also a special thanks to Sandiven our personal butler for his great hospitality and attention,he is a very kind and calm guy. He was there for us from the beginning to the end of our stay.Thanks everyone also for the service hope to see you soon.
