The hotel

Anyone can stay on a beach in Mauritius — but the prime location of Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa will make your stay that extra bit special. Set on a sweep of lagoon-washed sand, the resort is also framed by preserved mangroves. In the marine village of Azuri, you get to immerse yourself in the cosmopolitan village life and experience the beach and island activities all rolled into one. Passionate about design and attention to detail, the resort offers contemporary interiors, such as an inviting lobby with iconic shell chandeliers, oversized headboards in spacious guest rooms and many more. Guests always stay connected with complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, including the beach. Of course some things reflect the ‘pure beach retreat’, like your balcony or terrace; the ocean and infinity pool option among its four restaurants and bars; and the al fresco activities like water sports and kayak safaris. Guests have also access to activities and restaurants (with credit) at the adults-only sister hotel Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette Resort & Spa with the 'Blu Passport Concept' — a unique offering full hotel interchangeability with complimentary inter hotel transfer to enhance your holiday.

We had a lovely time last week. Great service in the Rockwell Restaurant from Chatish and Riya. The concierge team ( Sheetal ) were so helpful during our stay organising bookings for us. We had a junior suite with pool which are lovely quiet and private rooms, and very friendly cleaner.

Second visit here in 2 years, and again a fantastic relaxing experience! Fantastic spacious room with a lovely sea view, with bats flying past in the evening. Were not blessed with the best weather, was windy and we only had 1 day available for the watersports, too dangerous the other days, but still enjoyed the pool and some days out. We rented a car for a few days and Vinay and the rest of the staff was very helpful providing info and ideas what to do. and being from UK driving in Maurtious is easy, with wonderful places to see or just drive and see the beautiful scenery and people (and dogs :-/). Beautfiul beaches at Palmar Beach and Pereybere, slightly tainted by the very strong winds but lovely to see Highlight was the island hopping day trip offered by Vinay and the team at the hotel. Definitely worth it. Saw dolphins in the sea, snorkeling with tropical fish, waterfalls with monkeys in the tress, an old military lookout island, a watersports lagoon and a bbq lunch. A fantisatic experience - Jimmy our tour guide was great! 2 visits inside a year means we will probably wait a while to come back, but eventually I am sure we will because its Lovely place with lovely people. We visited Radisson Blu Hotel Azuri on Tuesday 22nd April until Monday 5th May 2025. Our holiday was definitely a holiday to remember for all the right reasons. The morning we arrived we were greeted by a member of staff who guided us to reception where we were booked in & informed our room would not be ready until approximately 3pm, however we could use a room to shower & change & would be able to use the restaurant & bars straightaway. Once we were given the key to our room we were delighted, our room was clean, bright and had a lovely view. Our first evening we visited the Buffett restaurant, we were greeted by numerous staff and made to feel very welcome. One particular waiter introduced himself as Hamish and explained if we needed anything to just ask. We saw Hamish almost every day & he always greeted us in a friendly manner and took time to talk to us about how we were enjoying our holiday and even gave us advice on what foods were spicy, he laughed and joked with us and made us feel as though nothing was too much trouble. Hamish always remembered our conversations and if we mentioned we were going snorkelling that day, he would ask us about it the following evening, it made us feel as though he really listened and cared. Another member of staff in the Buffett restaurant who really helped us was Nicoll, we met him towards the end of our holiday and on our very last day, he arranged with the kitchen for us to have a late lunch, which was delicious. With a long journey ahead of us, we were extremely grateful to Nicoll. We never met any of the chefs but we can confirm that all the food within the Buffett restaurant & Black Rock, the Italian and the Golf club restaurant was excellent. The bar within the hotel was fantastic, the staff always made us feel welcome. Kunal went over and above his duty and really did ensure we were looked after and were having a good holiday, including calling ahead to the restaurants we were booked into at night to make sure we were looked after. Kunal’s level of care, customer service and attention to detail is exceptional, he makes looking after people look effortless, at times he even knew what we wanted before we did. Kunal and his team were amazing , we got to know some of them including Victor, who always had a smile for us and took time to talk to us, he was funny and made us laugh and if we were going to the beach always made sure we had a drink to take with us. We can honestly say that we really enjoyed our holiday at Raddison Blu Azuri and would definitely recommend it to friends. The hotel is lovely it is in a beautiful setting and has fabulous views. There is plenty on offer to keep you busy, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, pedlo’s which is all free of charge. We were also able to use the free shuttle bus provided to visit the sister hotel, we spent a couple of days there and really enjoyed it. We also participated in the free evening trip to the golf club to join in with star gazing. This was a great evening and the gentleman who provided the telescopes was very knowledgeable & informative, he explained everything in a way that everyone could understand and was a very enjoyable experience. To summarise we had a fabulous holiday at the Raddison Blu Azuri, beautiful hotel, fantastic food but without a doubt it is the friendly staff that made the holiday. We know next year they are hoping to have a refurbishment, but once this is complete we would love to return, we just hope that the same staff are still there. Warren & Maria J Read less
