We had a really lovely stay at Radisson Poste Lafayette. It’s a lovely small intimate hotel. When we arrived and checked in the receptionist showed us to our room and explained all of the timings and things we needed to know etc which is always a nice touch. One addition to the briefing for me is the risks with the currents in the sea off shore of the hotel. Really enjoyed the beach which largely early in the morning you have to yourself which feels like paradise. Lots of places to sit and relax or sunbathe. The sea has lots of stones and coral so bring swimming shoes. It’s is quite remote, although there are other restaurants within a 15-20 min walk / taxi ride. I did also see a local shop not far down the road, but it is largely a domestic area., so no good if you want to walk to other places. The room is lovely (we had a superior room - beachfront) however it is on the small side with limited storage however the view in the morning made up for that. The hotel was very clean so no issues there. I’m a bit surprised that the bar only opens at 11.00 and usually with a 4* hotel they have champagne / Cava / Prosecco available during breakfast which was sadly missing. The hotel also seems to be a bit penny pinching when it comes to the mini bar with a maximum of two beers per day and with wine at dinner some waiters enforcing a glass by glass order which just meant people sometimes were waiting to be served for long periods which isn’t in tune with all inclusive philosophy. When we did ask for more beers in the mini bar, they did indeed fulfil our request. There is no cash machine at the hotel however I believe you can get a free mini bus to their sister hotel which does have one. I really do think that a cash machine would be a welcome addition here. A thing I really liked was that they fogged the grounds to kill the mosquitos once per week, I wish other hotels would do more of this as I personally find it more comfortable on holiday when I’m not the meal. The food was good and there were a number of themed nights at the buffet. We really enjoyed the food at the aqua beach restaurant which had some amazing Mauritius fusion food and seafood. Drinks and cocktails were excellent however as with many AI there were cocktails that were chargeable, which again I don’t personally agree with and didn’t purchase. Same applies to the tapas which is also chargeable so didn’t partake. All member of staff were very accommodating and friendly. In summary a wonderful stay however I would say there are some points mentioned which could be worked on to make future peoples stay more enjoyable. Read less

The room was adequate, but with VERY poor lighting. we had to use our phone torch to see around at night. It did rain now and again and we found the hotel was not equipped for wet days. Nowhere to go to as our room was being cleaned, so got wet. The so called all inclusive is not that. Some drinks were, but you had to pay for everything else. Food was hard choice, unless you enjoy curries or seafood. We ate bread and rice most days, however lunch times we could get a burger and chips at the Aqua restaurant. Place was quiet which was good. Be aware if booking a beachfront room it can be noisy from 8.30 until 10.30 pm as they have loud music which is annoying when paying extra for a premium room and needing an early night when you are up early for an excursion the following day. We would not recommend this hotel. The staff were good especially Abinash, the waiter. Read less

Diane and Vidushi were so friendly everytime I approached them with questions or needed help. Great customer service doesn’t go unnoticed. Stantanu was so kind when helping take my suitcase even when I moved rooms. I’ve just never met staff who genuinely look happy to help you!
