The beach here is bounded by two reefs, an inner one that gives the hotel's swimming beach privacy and an outer reef where there’s a selection of complimentary water sports on offer. Enjoy the translucent, calm lagoon and keep a watch from the terrace for the dolphins that come into the bay. When it comes to dining, there's the main Tamarind Terrace restaurant, the intimate Pink Peppercorn on the beach terrace, and Spices, with its refined indoor dining room or more casual outdoor terrace. On a beautiful white-sand beach on the west coast of Mauritius overlooking the Bay of Tamarin with the majestic Le Morne Mountain as a backdrop. Near the town of Flic en Flac, with its shops, bars and restaurants. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

All suites with sea facing balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, iron and board (on request), mini-bar*, safe, hairdryer, tea/coffee-making facilities, walk-in wardrobe, bathroom with separate bath and shower. Superior Suites are on the 1st and 2nd floors with remarkable lagoon views, and have 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults. Half Board includes:Breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant, Tamarind Terrace. Guests can also dine around at the other two restaurants at Sands and a further four restaurants at sister resort Maradiva Villas Resort & Spa with a credit towards the bill. “A perfect stay!”

We had an incredible stay at Sands Suites Resort and Spa. The staff were all extremely friendly and the attention to detail was fantastic. The whole trip was thoroughly relaxing and special from the moment we arrived through the door. The grounds are gorgeous and peaceful. There is so much to do at the hotel, the water sports, snorkelling trip, spa and entertainment each night. There were also activities throughout the day like aqua gym, beach volleyball etc. The hotel is small enough that it still feels personal and the staff get to know their guests which is lovely. The food was incredible. Each night had a different cuisine and every single buffet was delicious. The breakfast buffet was also fabulous with so much variety. The lady serving eggs was always so welcoming with a big smile and cooked our eggs to perfection! The waiting staff were also very efficient and always catered to our needs in a positive and polite manner. No request was too much, they even had a machine for a broken shoe! The hotel sorted a taxi to blue bay (which we definitely recommend visiting) and the taxi driver Jason, sorted us out with a glass bottom boat and snorkelling trip which we were very grateful for! Housekeeping team kept the rooms in a great condition and turn down service was a lovely touch. Special thanks to Rayen, Iryani, Curlie and Alicia who were extremely attentive and made our stay extra special. We were sad to be leaving but will be back next year! The Rands

“Ideal location !”

The staff were very attentive, the room was spacious, the TV worked intermittently, the WiFi was excellent, even working on the beach. We didn't think the food was up to 5 star quality. We thought there may have been more evening entertainment. The quality of linen, towels etc weren't 5 star quality and the shower caps tore on the 1st touch.
