Mother’s Day surprise visit.
We’ve just returned from Tamassa with wonderful memories and one clear feeling: we can’t wait to return. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5, I gladly would.
We booked this hotel as a surprise trip from the UK to Mauritius for our mum to celebrate Mother’s Day.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Avishka, thank you for helping us with the check-in and for helping arrange the lunch and day package for my cousin.
Throughout our stay, we were impressed by the high standard of service and the care shown to every guest. The staff were exceptional, always smiling, helpful, thoughtful, and attentive to every detail. As a family, we felt genuinely welcomed and well looked after from beginning to end.
The team’s communication and coordination truly stood out at Tamassa, and Jenna, Siven, and others demonstrated this throughout our stay.
The hotel is beautiful and impeccably maintained. The gardens are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and every area is designed to provide comfort and a real sense of escape. The cleanliness also deserves special mention—whether in the rooms, shared spaces, restaurants, or around the pools, everything was spotless and very well cared for.
People often warn about the three Ws, and in this case, it was the weather. Once again, Tamassa’s attention to detail stood out, with an umbrella provided in every room so guests could move around comfortably during the rainy season.
We were also delighted by the dining experience. The restaurants and burger truck offered an excellent variety of dishes, all outstanding quality. Every meal was a pleasure, with diverse flavours and consistently excellent service. There was truly something for everyone, which made our family stay even more enjoyable. Thank you again to Akilesh, Siven, Jenna, and others for preparing and decorating a table for us on Mother’s Day.
Special thanks to the barman, (sorry I didn’t catch your name)who, on 31st May 2026 at around 10:30 am, prepared a special mocktail for my mum and aunt, making the surprise even more meaningful and memorable.
A visit to the spa is a must at Tamassa. Thank you again, Avinash, for such an exceptional service, that created unforgettable memories not to mention beautficul pictures in jaccuzzi.
A special thanks to the entertainment guru, Sid. The Mother’s Day hen musical chairs game was such a lovely idea and one of the highlights of our stay. On behalf of all the mums, thank you for making it so special with laughter, games, and music. Thank you as well to the entertainment team for teaching us the dance steps.
Overall, the experience was outstanding: a beautiful setting, nice photo spot, exceptional staff, flawless organisation, and consistently high quality in every aspect of our stay.
