We have recently returned from this fantastic hotel, and the experience is still fresh in our minds. From the very moment we arrived, we felt a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Everyone we encountered made a genuine effort to ensure our arrival was relaxed and enjoyable after a long journey from Europe. We were offered breakfast, and the facilities were made available so we could refresh ourselves before our room was ready. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch from the start.
We appreciated the intimate size of the hotel, which helped create a tranquil environment without the feeling of being overwhelmed by crowds. The hotel offers an experience as if you were staying in a beautifully designed large home, featuring thoughtful, elegant décor, a charming library that resembles an authentic living room, and a stunning garden. The design of both the rooms and the overall property is exceptional—refined yet cosy.
In terms of services, we found this place to be excellent value for money. The hotel provides a glass-bottom boat to explore marine life, snorkeling, kayaking, table tennis, morning yoga sessions, rum tastings, and more. The range of activities available to guests is diverse and offers a wonderful opportunity to connect more closely with the spirit of Mauritius. Don’t miss the delightful afternoon gatherings with snacks, rum-based drinks, and mocktails—we loved the idea of bringing guests and staff together. This is exactly the kind of experience that makes you want to return 🙂
We absolutely loved how well the garden is maintained, creating a perfect habitat for birds. If you’re as fortunate as we were, you may even spot large bats and snake eels near the rocks along the beach—completely harmless. The sound of birds with their incredible melodies truly reflects how well the hotel blends with its natural surroundings. Our daughter loved the beuatiful lizzards appering every evening in our terrace.
I would also like to highlight what was the cherry on the pie during our stay. During a casual conversation with one of the managers, we mentioned that our trip was a way to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised when the manager arranged a beautiful anniversary dinner for us at the à la carte restaurant, along with a thoughtful gesture of a chocolate cake during one of our dinners at the main restaurant. This act of kindness will remain a cherished memory for us.
We would like to thank each and every member of staff for the amazing work they do. I would especially like to bring to management’s attention that this appreciation extends to everyone—from the guards at the entrance, the welcoming staff at reception, the spa team, housekeeping, and beyond. While we mention a few names, please know our gratitude extends to the entire team: thank you, Adriano, Miguel, Rishi (Kevin), Aurore, Ajay, Ashley, Rachelle, the sports instructor, the team member who arranged our dinner, the wonderful ladies preparing meals, and many others.
