I would like to give a very special thanks to Moe and Samahir at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care truly stood out during my stay. I was facing an issue, and they handled it with so much patience, positivity, and attention. They went above and beyond to solve it and made me feel completely taken care of. People like Moe and Samahir are the reason guests remember a place so fondly. Their warm attitude and willingness to help made my experience much better, and I’m truly grateful for their support. No customer service. Al a carte Restaurants not suitable for children with no children’s menu at the fish restaurant and very limited at the Italian. 14 nights was a struggle at the buffet with a ‘free for all’ kind of feel - walk in and sit anywhere - not one member of staff took us (5 people) to a table throughout our 14 night stay. We have to ask for someone to take our drink order and then it can take up to 10-20 minutes to arrive. The guys at the outdoor BBQ area are very abrupt and not friendly at all. The staff who take the drinks order got our order wrong 50% of the time, the dining experience was not pleasant at all, and so we are out on a couple of occasions. We could not dine at the restaurant on the higher floor, Due to one of children being under 10. We was allowed to dine at the Al la carte once per week, but were kindly offered an extra visit dine at the two other restaurants due to the restriction of the top floor restaurant. Due to a bad experience at both restaurants, We only visited the Italian and fish restaurant once. The whole dining experience was a big let down. The main family pool closest to the ice cream kiosk wasn’t properly maintained with broken tiles and I cut my foot one day. The lifts in the hotel are frustrating, too many guests using them, the doors close very quickly so can be easily missed. One of the lifts were broken/out of order the whole duration of our holiday and at point, two lifts were out of order. We had to use the staircase nearly everyday, as we were only in room 213 and 211. Our room was only being cleaned around 6pm each day, which was not a sensible time, when we have children, so we usually go for evening meal around 7-730pm. The music was so loud outside at night we couldn’t get to sleep until after 1am when it seemed to finish. We did not ask to move rooms because we did not want to be waiting long times for the lifts, which often took 5 minutes or longer and sometimes the lifts were so full, you have to wait for another. Considering the cost of our holiday for 2 adults and 3 children -It certainly wasn’t up to the standard we have experienced several times before in Dubai. This was our 5th holiday in the UAE and 4th as a family of 5 and this hotel was certainly not for us.

“Fantastic stay”

We stayed at the hotel right after Ramadan. At first, it was very calm with few guests, but later it became noticeably busier. We really loved the kids’ club — it’s well-organized and offers plenty of activities for children of different ages. A big advantage for families traveling with kids. The hotel area is also great: many swimming pools and even private water slides, which made the stay more fun. The rooms are comfortable and clean, very pleasant to stay in. A special thanks to Adina — she was extremely kind and helpful. After check-out, she provided us with a meal voucher, so we didn’t have to worry about food and could enjoy lunch with our child. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As for recommendations, the beach could be improved: there are quite a few stones and a rather steep entry into the water, which can be inconvenient, especially with children. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was attentive, caring, and always quick to help
