We had an overall enjoyable few days at this hotel. The food was generally of a high quality with a particular mention for the Asian themed speciality restaurant (booking required). We liked the beach bar with DJ and live drink station there. The only comments / suggestions would be clearer exploration around the hotel facilities and what is available. Also we were a little disappointed by the policy at checkout that food and beverage immediately stoped at 12. We thought this was a little unnecessarily strict and thought it would be nice to enjoy lunch before travelling home. We mentioned this to a manager however there was no flex (and little response). Lovely entertainment in courtyard on evening. Didn’t use sports bar as told children were not welcome. Kids club is basic, small indoor space with very limited toys. My 6 and 2 year old usually love kids clubs but were unimpressed with the amenities available. The resort do not allow a la cartes to be booked in advance (I contacted prior to arrival as Rixos palm allowed us to) and was told there was no need as all guests will be catered to. Unfortunately this was not the case, queues of guests each morning at 9am arguing to be able to book times in the restaurants despite being all inclusive is not how you want to spend your 5+ holiday. Although we appreciate the resort will be busy during school holidays, sun loungers were all gone by 8am. The resort had signage to say unaccompanied loungers will be cleared however we only saw this happen on 2 occasions after 11am. Room facilities great and house keeping staff brilliant even though dry mini bar isn’t restocked unless you request. Room service is included on all inclusive for children - we found this really helpful although not advertised openly. Highly recommend saadiyat beach club, 10 mins in cab, family friendly, beautiful amenities, very reasonable. Read less

This hotel is great. For me it's the people who work so hard to make sure you have a wonderful stay, which makes it excellent. On arrival Dona greeted us with such a lovely warm personality. Throughout the week whenever we saw her she would chat with my wife in such a nice manner. First impressions to departure were excellent. I like to relax by pool, then an afternoon at the beach. At the pool we were looked after by Jerby and the team, honestly they couldn't have done any more for us. Ashraf, who works at the pool area is always skating around, such a nice guy and goes way and beyond expectations. Team work is apparent and I was impressed by the service received from the whole team. Beach bar, excellent place to watch sunsets. Nikos and his team deliver great service along with signature cocktails. In Your Arms was a favourite of mine. DJ and saxophonist on the beach until the sunset was such a lovely vibe. Gabriel is a superstar, attentive and always remembers the little things, the guys a legend! Food for me is really important and honestly can't fault any of the al la carte restaurants. Again service in all was fantastic and quality of the food was good. Main restaurant was superb, can get busy but never had issue getting a table or drinks and always plenty to choose from. Have to say desserts were epic. In the evening you have live a band playing outside up until 11pm. Drinks were flowing and they will make you any cocktail you can imagine. Great quality and again Service was superb. Our stay crossed over with May half term and towards the end of holiday it got busier around the pool. I personally had no issues with families or kids, but I don’t think kids splash park has enough for families to stay all day. As for improvements, a second pool or better use of splash park. From an adult perspective, 1 of the al la carte restaurants as adult only each night this would give couples option to have meal in quieter environment Summing up my holiday- Loved our 10 nights and really wished we had booked for longer. From the moment we arrived received exceptional service from everyone who works at the hotel. We have already rebooked for our 3rd visit next year which says it all. Thank you Jerby, Nikos and all of the Rixos teams. Mr Nick Read less

We decided to stay at Rixos Abu Dhabi after enjoying Rixos The Palm on a number of occasions previously. Their social media does a great job of showing a calm, quiet, serene environment … but this was not the reality. We stayed for 1 week during May half term with our 11yo son so we are used to being around children and the “busyness” of the school holidays. But people make a place, and the people at this resort didn’t care. Children were deliberately putting their milkshakes in the pool, diving from “no diving” platforms without recourse and being left to their own devices of wildness by their parents who sang football songs by the bar and did the bare minimum of parenting to the detriment of others. The hotel is too big to not have a second pool (I’m not counting the aqua park as a pool). You cannot book your restaurant reservations in advance like Rixos The Palm, I had to complain when I was told that there was no availability for the Italian and, magically, they were then able to accommodate us. It makes you feel like a nuisance from the offset. We were told that the Sports Bar (which is gorgeous!) was not for children under 12… then 3 days in the resort changed its mind and decided to allow children in. The Sports Bar was amazing but empty so had no atmosphere. You could order drinks from your pool lounger and the beach, and the premium alcohol was good. The beach and sea were truly unbeatable. Bedroom cleanliness and servicing wasn’t as on point as The Palm. All in all, this resort didn’t meet our expectations. I could type for pages about where it fell short, But I think this is purely because of the high standards Rixos The Palm holds it accountable to. Read less
