We have just spent what I must say must be one of the best family holidays we have ever had. We have been fortunate enough to have had some lovely holidays over the last few years but for us this one takes top spot. The hotel / service, food etc etc in our opinion has been second to none. Going to an al carte restaurant is liking eating in any high end restaurant. Particularly the Asian where we were fortunate enough to be served by Mark on a couple of occasions. His friendly yet professional approach was second to none. We are grateful to the whole team at Rixos for such a memorable holiday and will definitely be back. Read less

Dear Nadia, I would like to take time from my holiday to say thank you to yourself and the house security that looks after the paying guests and staff at the Rixos premium here in Saadiyat island. It is our first visit to the UAE and the third time staying with the Rixos group and love the service we receive from their professional and caring staff, it does not go un-noticed to myself or my family. We have enjoyed the standards and holiday so much with the group that we have now booked the Rixos premium in Belek Turkey for October. The reason for my email is to thank you and the security for handling a situation at the pool yesterday where a family who clearly were not staying at the hotel, chose to take advantage of both the bar drinks and the pool. I do not understand the entire situation but both yourself and the security acted in the highest expected standards of addressing the issue. You spoke to the family with courtesy and dignity and from the conversation I saw, you gave them every opportunity to explain what they had done and opportunity to resolve the matter. I found them to be both rude and impolite to your more than fair questions and their behaviour of running off only confirmed that they had done wrong. I just wanted to thank you for keeping the Rixos standards high and security vigilant so that non customers wondering in from the beach are dealt with correctly. I would be happy to speak to senior management if necessary. Best regards and thank you for the wonderful service. Keep up the good work. Read less

We chose this hotel as an alternative to our original hotel as there was going to be work on the pool and pool area. Our first impression was amazing. The building and foyer were spectacular. We couldn’t check in immediately so spend some time in the lounge bar being looked after until we could get into our room. Our room was large, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The mini bar was refreshed daily with soft drinks and snacks. The housekeeping changed towels twice a day and replenished water. Our first meal at the buffet restaurant was lovely (however as our 12 days went on it was clear that the food was going to be repetitive!). The staff in the restaurant were very accommodating and were keen to ensure the experience was good. However uncontrollable children (including a couple playing football oblivious to their parents) made the experience less than ideal. It was a challenge to get into the a la carte restaurants. There was limited availability and ‘waiting lists’ for cancellations. However we managed to get 4 reservations and in each case the restaurant was almost empty for the duration of our visits - staff often outnumbering the diners. The people’s restaurant was a haven at lunchtime. It was a place to have freshly cooked food in the air conditioning. The staff were great and so accommodating. The pool was absolutely packed. Children screaming and playing ball not caring for other pool users. The lifeguards were vigilant but did not intervene with the raucous behaviour of some children. The pool staff cleared glasses, rubbish and used towels frequently and assisted people with laying out sunbeds. There were guys on skates serving drinks to the sunbeds. Most days there were just two desperately trying to keep up with demand. They were rushed off their feel. Far too few of them for the crowds around the pool. The guy behind the pool bar was again rushed off his feet. Again more staff were needed to ensure smooth running. Overall, the hotel was ok for our holiday. A few adjustments would make the world of difference: Making the main pool adults only - the children’s pool was almost empty (perhaps serving alcohol around that pool would ensure that parents stayed with their children). Expanding the capacity of the a la carte restaurants would allow more people to access them. Having more staff around the main pool at busy times. Read less
