The hotel

The only Ultra All-Inclusive retreat on Saadiyat Island, you can dine on delicacies from Italy to Asia at six elegant restaurants; sip drinks at a series of beautiful bars; enjoy the fun of its beach, aqua park and wave pool; and even indulge in the ice room, Jacuzzi, and private outdoor pool of its Turkish-inspired spa.

Where is it

Located on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi are both a 20 minute drive away. Transfer time from Abu Dhabi International Airport: 25 minutes.

All with air-conditioning, balcony (subject to availability), flat-screen TV, WiFi access, marble floors, mini-bar (stocked with a selection of soft drinks and beer per day). Deluxe Rooms Garden View with oversized bay windows and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 1 child.

The above restaurants and bars serve a selection of alcoholic beverages (pouring brand of vodka, tequila, rum, whisky, gin, selection of beer and house wine) and non-alcoholic beverages (tea/coffee, juices, soda, diet soda, water).

Please note: à la carte restaurants operate on a rotation basis, not all outlets are available on the same day. Minimum length of stay of 3 nights is required for à la carte usage. Arrival date dining is at Turquoise restaurant. A la carte dining begins from the second day of your stay. Three-night stays: eligible for complimentary use of two à la carte restaurants. Four-night stays: eligible for complimentary use of à la carte restaurants up to three times. Five-night stays or more: eligible for complimentary use of à la carte restaurants up to four times. All bookings must be made in advance at the “Restaurant Reservation Desk” in the lobby and are subject to availability. Guests are entitled to a five-course meal and unlimited beverages at a la carte restaurants.

Room upgrades

Deluxe Rooms Sea View with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

Premium Pool Access Rooms are located on the edge of the hotels pool, with 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

One Bedroom Suites with either garden, or sea views, have 1 king-size bed in the bedroom and living room with 1 sofa bed (180cm X 150cm), sleeping maximum 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

One Bedroom Suites Pool Access with 1 king-size bed in the bedroom, living room with 1 sofa bed (180cm X 150cm) and a balcony with direct access to the swimming pool, sleeping maximum 3 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. Two Bedroom Suite Pool Access are also available, maximum 5 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

Two Bedroom Family Rooms with garden views, sea views or pool access, with 2 king-size beds or 1 king-size and 1 twin bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults, 1 child and 1 infant.

All suite guests benefit from designated VIP Check-in Lounge, located in the right wing of the resort, and a personalised check-in process which includes a refreshing towel and welcome drink.

Club Prive

Club Prive by Saadiyat Island (3 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 6 adults, 1 child and 1 infant), Villa Prive (4 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 8 adults, 1 child and 1 infant) and the Presidential Suite (2 bedrooms, sleeping maximum 4 adults, 1 child and 1 infant) are also available.

Although it is not the ideal time to visit Abu Dhabi in June due to the weather, the trip was arranged via British Airways Holidays to earn Gold status with the airline. As always, with any ALL hotel, even with status, you do not receive any rewards or status points when booking via a third-party site, which is always annoying, as other hotel programs sometimes allocate points to members. We stayed in a Premium King Room with Pool Access, which was great for cooling down in, in the hot afternoon sun. The room was clean and kept tidy, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom featured a bath and shower, complete with L'Occitane bathroom accessories and bathrobes. The beach was kept clean, with service available and an adult-only area, which unfortunately wasn't always kept kids free! Sadly, what let the hotel down was the food. As the hotel is all-inclusive, you will primarily dine at the Turquoise Restaurant. This wouldn't be a problem if your stay were for a couple of days, but it became tiring after a while. Although other dining options were available, the restaurants always seemed to be fully booked. We did manage to get a booking at the Orient Restaurant, which was a great experience. The drink options at the hotel were excellent for a hotel in the Middle East, with a wide range of beer, wine, and spirit choices. Having just returned from an 8 night stay we would highly recommend this amazing hotel. On arrival Benj welcomed us, he was very professional & a friendly face throughout our stay, always there to help with any queries. We traveled as 3 adults and found the one bedroom suite very spacious, clean & modern…just perfect. The hotel lobby and courtyard are stunning, we really enjoyed morning coffee after breakfast relaxing here. The buffet was varied and always of a high standard. We always sat outside and enjoyed the dinner entertainment. People’s restaurant was a great option for lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed all the a la carte restaurants, again impeccable service and delicious food, our favourites being the Italian & Asian. Cocktails were all top quality, we especially liked how they had different menus at the different bars…certainly plenty to choose from! The beach is incredible & reminded us of The Maldives, a real highlight of staying on Saadiyat, we loved our daily beach walks. The sunset DJ was another fab touch. What really makes this hotel is the staff and service throughout. Everyone was so attentive and friendly and always remembered your drink preference. All staff really do deserve to be recognised. Special mention to KB delivering our drinks daily on roller skates, he’s a great asset to the team. We have never returned to a hotel but are looking at returning next year!
