Fairmont Ajman

Ajman, United Arab Emirates

Star rating

The hotel

Fairmont’s fabulous outpost in Ajman, this luxury beachfront retreat brings all the glamorous décor, gourmet dining, and grand amenities you’d expect from a Fairmont — in a setting you might not expect in the UAE. The next big name in the emirates, Ajman may be 30 minutes from Dubai, but it’s poles apart in its subtlety and serenity. The Fairmont’s arrival to its palm-swept beachline signals Ajman’s ready to compete with its neighbours. A grand getaway, it brings eight restaurants and lounges (taking you from Italy to the Caribbean), an infinity pool fringing a private stretch of sand, and an activity list that covers everyone in the family, from those after spa treatments to those who’d prefer splashing about on a floating off-shore water park (and even little guests who’d prefer making sandcastles at their kids’ club).

Amazing hotel, fantastic staff, thank you Llin, Ajub and April, five star staff, truly amazing. Food and service were great and the Lifeguards so friendly, caring and excellent. The poolside "butlers" were also fabulous. Had suite 127, fabulous!

The staff are fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. The staff are fantastic, couldn't do enough for you. Its the all inclusive "product" that is the issue at the hotel. - There's hardly anything included from a drinks standpoint and the drinks that are included are of very poor quality. - If you aren't all inclusive and pay for your drinks, the drinks are far superior than if you are all inclusive, i.e..soft drinks are from a can rather than a bottle, beers are on tap and much better than the becks in the can served. Cocktails are decent cocktails, rather than the cheap one's on the list etc. - The "a la carte" restaurants, you only got a 50dirham credit and even after that credit the food was expensive for what it was. Normally, in most all inclusive resorts, these restaurants are included and there is one or two items that are a premium cost, not everything on the menu. - The food quality is decent. But the food selection is poor. To the point where we ended up eating out for most of the meals instead. Having stayed at many all inclusives, eating out would occur during the trip. But not this frequently. To summarize, there's no doubt the hotel rooms and facilities is 4-5 star. But the all inclusive product is currently 2-3 star when compared to other all inclusive hotels/resorts. In my opinion, it shouldn't be an all inclusive hotel and just bed and breakfast and half board and would suit this hotel much better. Read less

Special thanks to the hotel staff, especially the security service. When checking out of the hotel, I forgot my wallet with credit cards and cash in the safe. This is your classical Dubai/Sharjah hotel, massive and all shiny. We stayed there 2 nights in our way to Singapore. Staff is nice, for some reason they offered us a free room upgrade.
