The new iconic landmark in Dubai is here, and it’s unlike any other hotel you’ve seen before. If you thought Atlantis, The Palm was impressive (and we agree it is!), then this addition to the Atlantis portfolio will redefine your perspective of luxury and innovation. Atlantis The Royal is where impossible becomes possible, and luxury mixes with experience, challenging the boundaries of imagination. It’s all about space, natural sunlight and feeling like you can quite literally reach the clouds. Speaking of clouds, Cloud 22 brings you a rooftop pool club that’s on another level, literally! Book a private cabana with your own plunge pool, and enjoy an exquisite cocktail with even better views as the sun moves across the horizon and the music goes up a notch. The alluring design of the hotel ensures complete privacy in all room types, 44 of which are available with private infinity pools. On arrival, the magnificent lobby is designed around the 4 natural elements, as you’re welcomed by Droplets, the towering lobby sculpture inspired by the first drop of rain in the desert. And whilst the hotel is full of striking features, bespoke artwork, and large aquariums, it’s the little touches that will also take your breath away. Your bed will be separated from the bathroom by a glass wall that frosts over at a single touch. From your balcony the views across The Palm and Dubai’s skyline are exquisite, but ultimately you won’t need to venture that far with the endless lists of fun, food and frolics on offer here! 17 restaurants each tell their own story, AWAKEN Wellness will have you revitalised in no time, and the nightlife will have you dancing until the early hours. From fountain shows to fire shows, one of the largest jellyfish tanks you’ll ever see, and waterslides galore, Atlantis The Royal is the place where something incredible happens at every minute.

Amazing experience and Ahmet was absolutely brilliant! So helpful and nothing was too much trouble. He was so attentive. The food was excellent and the omlette was the best I’ve ever eaten. The cheese room was lush and the ice cream was such a good choice.

We visited this amazing hotel on The Palm with a family member and his wife for a week in paradise. This was our first visit to Dubai and despite the incredible heat, we had a thoroughly enjoyable time at The Royal. The hotel is huge, and as soon as you are welcomed into the lobby, you know you are in for a treat. It’s a very unique building but very easy to navigate and enough there to keep even the most fussy traveller happy. We had an early morning flight and despite this, both our rooms were ready, a quick freshen up and we set off to explore the hotel. The other couple had been there before and it was their recommendation that we stay there, so they showed us around all the different restaurants and where the pools were etc. There are quite a few fine dining restaurants on the property, and we mostly stayed on resort as there was plenty there to keep us occupied for the week. It was too hot to explore too far outside of the hotel, but there were plenty of cabs outside ready to whisk you off and there is also complimentary transfers to their sister hotel, The Atlantis where there are even more restaurants onsite. The rooms and the hotel itself are spotlessly clean, and there is evident pride in this, there were people constantly cleaning and tidying up all around the hotel. The rooms are large and stocked up with plenty of complimentary water, replenished daily, which is a nice touch. The same around the pools, plenty of options for drink and food, but the water is complimentary and constantly topped up. Very much needed! We visited all three pools, the highlight being the Cloud 22 at the top of the hotel, where you get an amazing view of the Palm. Attentive service in every part of the hotel, whether lounging around the pools or in the restaurants or the main lounge. Everyone is friendly and eager to help. There’s not much to say that hasn’t already been said but this is truly a 5 star, luxury experience and I recommend it thoroughly if you’re thinking of visiting Dubai. Read less
