This was our first trip back to JZS for almost 6 years and I’m delighted to say it did not disappoint - in fact we actually enjoyed this trip more than any of the previous 5 occasions we’d stayed here since 2014. The impression on arrival is still awesome, with the opulence apparent on pulling up outside and stepping into the impressive reception area. We had booked a Club King Room with half board, which effectively made the holiday “all inclusive” by taking advantage of the afternoon tea in the Club Lounge and the free alcoholic drinks and canapés in there between 17:30 and 19:30. Our bedroom was on the 5th floor, pretty much in the centre of the hotel overlooking the pools and beach. As ever, the view was terrific and the giant bed and pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever experienced in a hotel. The bathroom, with its oversized bath and separate shower and wc areas, was pretty luxurious too. The Club Lounge had moved since our last visit and is now situated on the mezzanine floor at one end of the hotel. I think it is a more welcoming area than previously and it was much easier to strike up a conversation with other guests using the facility. We had breakfast and lunch in there each day and took full advantage of the canapés and free drinks during “happy hour”. The staff in there were very friendly and welcoming and provided great service. Many thanks to Earl and his team for making us so welcome! The restaurants in the hotel had changed a little since we were last there. The Rib Room (Steak) had gone to make way for the Club Lounge and the beach restaurant was now called Zenzi - we didn’t eat there so cannot comment on it. But I’m delighted to say that Al Nafourah (Lebanese), Amala (Indian) and Imperium (buffet) are still there and provide excellent quality food. There were also 2 great additions. Tori Tori is a fantastic Japanese restaurant and the Zabeel Social is their take on a Sports Bar with food sourced by Zenzi. We spent each day down on the beach, rather than the pool, to benefit from the “sea breeze”. The sunbeds were really comfortable and there was an unlimited amount of chilled bottled water throughout the day. A really nice touch was the occasional sunglasses clean and iced lollies each morning and afternoon. Two of the beach staff who deserve a special mention are Babu and Rajinder, both of whom provided us with excellent service during our stay. Finally a mention about the gym. Most people will perhaps not be interested in going to the gym whilst on holiday but if you are then you won’t be disappointed with the one at JZS. It has everything you need for a good workout - 4 treadmills, 2 cross trainers, 2 exercise bikes , free weights, a cable machine, a Smiths machine, 2 incline benches, multiple other strength machines and a variety of resistance bands for stretching. And if you needed any advice on how to use a piece of equipment Ruben was on hand to ensure you could train safely. As I said earlier, all of this combined to make this our most enjoyable visit so far. So much so that we’ve already booked to go back next year - there can be no greater recommendation than that! Thank you to everyone at JZS for a fabulous, memorable holiday! Read less

I’m writing to raise a serious concern regarding the lack of a bidet (shattaf) in the bathroom of my suite. My booking was from 16 - 18 May 2025 on ( Grand Imperial Suite) I had specifically booked a suite expecting a higher level of comfort, and was not informed in advance that such a basic hygiene facility would be missing. This issue has caused significant inconvenience to me and my young children. Due to the absence of a bidet—something we consider essential for cleanliness—we were forced to take a full shower every time we used the bathroom. This is not only extremely uncomfortable and time-consuming, but also far from what one would expect in a hotel of your standard. I kindly ask that you take this matter seriously and consider providing a proper solution, or at least ensure this information is made clear to future guests before booking. Read less
