Hotel is immaculate. Staff are brilliant. Food in the buffet restaurant was of a high standard. Only criticism is the silly voucher system they use for meals - a modern hotel really shouldn't expect you to produce tiny pieces of paper. This needs to be computerised. 4th hotel we have stayed at in Dubai. Definitely our favourite yet. Great central… Read more

We first rolled up to the Marriott Hotel Palm Jumeirah in 2023, expecting something dazzling, sun-soaked, and obscenely luxurious. And to be fair, that’s what we got… eventually. We first rolled up to the Marriott Hotel Palm Jumeirah in 2023, expecting something dazzling, sun-soaked, and obscenely luxurious. And to be fair, that’s what we got… eventually. The front desk, however, greeted us with all the enthusiasm of a sleepy customs officer at Heathrow. Not ideal. But then—oh then—came the cavalry: the bar staff, the pool crew, the restaurant teams. And let me tell you, they didn’t just save the day. They salvaged it. Like a Formula One pit crew rescuing your weekend. Since then? We’ve been back three times. Not out of duty. Out of sheer, unfiltered joy. It’s become less of a hotel and more of a second home—if your home came with poolside cocktails, a vast range of delicious meal options and someone offering you a frozen towel every time you looked mildly warm. March and June 2025? Glorious. The staff don’t just recognise us—they welcome us. With genuine warmth. The kind of thing you usually only get from a golden retriever or your nan after three gins! Let’s talk about the stars: Ravindu, bar supervisor extraordinaire, backed up by Chandu and a dream team that includes Srimanta, Bhim, Kirat, Felicia, and Mahesh. They run the bars smoother than a margarita on a Monday. Friendly, sharp, and always two steps ahead. Want your drink before you realise you’re thirsty? Done. Souradeep at the front desk? First class. Slicker than a lounge singer in a velvet suit. Check-in, check-out, mid-stay tweaks—he handles it all like a man who’s done this in a past life. Possibly while juggling fire. Over at Laventera, Tejal and her manager are the reason breakfast becomes a borderline emotional experience. Warm, precise, and always a step ahead, they make you feel like royalty. Smoki Moto. Now this isn’t just a restaurant. It’s an event. You don’t just eat there, you experience it. World-class food. Service so polished it could blind a small child. And a vibe so cool, it makes ice jealous. Celebrities love it and frankly, so do we. Then there’s Above 11, the rooftop bar. Imagine sipping cocktails while gazing over the Dubai skyline. It’s vibrant, stylish, and effortlessly confident. We’ve also stayed at the Rixos on the palm a few times, and truth be told, it’s a fantastic hotel. But there’s just something about the Marriott. It has this rare, effortless warmth—a sense of home wrapped in five-star comfort. It’s not better because the Rixos is worse. It’s better because it feels right. Like slipping into your favourite armchair after trying out a dozen very lovely ones. Marriott Palm Jumeirah, you magnificent lot—you’ve set the bar, then launched it into low orbit. Can’t wait to be back in a few months! Don’t change a thing. Except maybe that front desk team from 2023; never allow them to return! Read less
