We spent three nights in a beachside room in a mansion. Amazing place - lovely staff, great surroundings, with a limited number of rooms the guest numbers mean the place doesn't feel busy. Magical.

Let me start by saying this hotel is the best we’ve ever stayed at! We’ve been One and Only clients for 30 years and the product worldwide is truly 5 STAR and The Palm is superb. This is down to lots of things but mainly the STAFF-they are absolutely brilliant from senior management through the butlers (special mention to Ian and Andrew) and everyone! They are genuinely the nicest, most brilliant people that make the experience so good. We stayed in a suite with pool having been upgraded to a villa on a previous visit and I wont pretend that it’s not expensive but this is proper 5 Star! With only a maximum 90 odd rooms there is no crowding or hustle and bustle of the bigger hotels , rarely does the hotel look busy even at capacity and the personal service from the staff is just brilliant. From the wonderful butlers, to the catering, pool service, room maintenance, kids club, gym, spa, gardeners, just the very best! The rooms/ suites have the best beds and are so well looked after even though its now coming up to ten years old so a few pieces of upgrading like more tv channels and chargers wouldn’t go a miss but lets face it I dont want to be watching much tv in Dubai! The whole hotel is spotless due to the phenomenal team and its location at the end of the Palm gives it that extra exclusivity. Now here’s just the odd small negatives for the super senior management somewhere in the world-you have the very best at the Palm please dont make small cut backs that take away your edge and to us that is about food restaurants. The breakfast is the best in the world and just a total joy but we’ve noticed things like the honeycomb has been withdrawn-tiny thing but showed your desire to be the best. However the biggest issue is the Half Board that now is affected by Zest (the main restaurant) only serving Italian. Previously there were theme nights such as Indian, Asian, Pizza but now it’s the same menu every night. Now the food is superb dont get me wrong but after a few nights it’s very repetitive and would definitely make me think twice about Half Board again. 101 is the seafood restaurant and personally I’m not a fan. Limited choices and unless you’re a seafood fan it’s not great and a £50 supplement for a steak is actually offensive! It’s a beautiful location on the water and again I would suggest a re think. Worst is the french restaurant which I dont think I’ve seen more than two people eat in over our visits. It’s beautifully designed but its attendance shows it doesn’t work-why not change into Asian Fusion or something? I know the One and Only group has the affiliation with French restaurant and chefs but times move and its such a waste sitting there not being used-these comments really are for Directors in the world and only as we love the place and people! Anyway The One and Only Palm is still the very best if you want pure luxury and not a huge ‘village of a hotel’. Its staff and facilities are phenomenal, just dont fall behind due to financial cuts please!! When we leave the hotel crescent we genuinely are depressed and upset, this hotel and staff are that good! Thankyou again for the most wonderful time, we will be back of course and urge anyone considering a Dubai hotel looking for true 5 Star plus to go there as you will be blown away!! The One&Only The Palm in Dubai is a remarkable hotel. We had previously visited its sister hotel in Dubai, the Royal Mirage, several times. Both hotels excel in their unique style, grace, and elegance. Everywhere you look, there are carefully selected, finest materials that are perfectly coordinated and harmonise beautifully. Naturally, the style is opulent, but that is precisely what one desires on holiday, especially in Dubai. Nothing feels overdone. Everything is in harmony. Although the hotel has been around for several years, its age is not noticeable at all. Everything is impeccably maintained and feels brand new. The rooms, despite their elegance, are cosy and thoughtfully furnished. Each piece of furniture invites you to linger and is much more than mere decoration. In terms of cuisine, there is nothing to criticise. Everything is at the highest level. In addition to the excellent meals at Zest, I had an outstanding dinner at 101 and enjoyed the best Indian cuisine of my life at Tresin. Tresin is the restaurant located at the Hotel Royal Mirage, which is accessible via the hotel's own boat shuttle. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience. The service is consistently impeccable and always incredibly friendly. Every staff member strives to ensure the well-being of each guest. In destinations like this, many different nationalities and mentalities come together. Unfortunately, I often o bserve that some people are unfriendly and disrespectful towards those dedicated to their well-being. This behaviour is particularly noticeable among certain groups, sometimes suggesting they have not experienced the same hard work as the dedicated staff here. I would like to express my deep appreciation for the hardworking service staff who do their best every day. Many people, including myself, genuinely appreciate this. Special thanks to my host Andrew, who immediately attended to all my requests. He introduced himself personally on my first day by the pool. I am confident that he can fulfil even the most demanding requests of other guests to their utmost satisfaction. Many thanks also to staff from Zest, who impressed me with their ability to remember the names and preferences of various guests from the start. And heartfelt thanks to housekeeping, that kept my room so beautifully tidy and clean, significantly contributing to my well-being. This time, I had to travel without my family, but I am definitely planning to return with my wife and daughter, as the hotel is also wonderfully suited for families. However, those seeking tranquillity will find relaxation at the beautiful Safina Pool, which is reserved exclusively for adults. There are incredibly comfortable lounge chairs and thick cushions. Unfortunately, it is now little surrounded by somewhat unattractive high-rise buildings due to the nearby EMAAR Beachfront development. There are also some construction sites in the immediate vicinity, but in Dubai, this isn't really unusual anymore. Overall, a wonderful stay with no complaints. Without a doubt, one of the best hotels in Dubai. See you soon O&O the Palm! Read less
