We have now completed our second stay at this hotel.
During our first visit (November 2024), we were slightly surprised by the size of the balcony in our Premium room – it only accommodated a table and two chairs. We spent the first three days in this room, and once the hotel became less occupied, we were kindly moved to a room with a very spacious terrace. In the evenings, after our son had gone to sleep, we truly enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. The balcony size was the only (and truly very minor) downside of our first stay, which is why we chose the hotel again for our second visit.
Having learned from our previous experience, I wrote a very polite email to the hotel before our second stay, requesting a room with a terrace so that we could spend our evenings there while our son slept (especially since most guests tend to spend that time at the bar, which we do not). Our request was kindly accommodated, and once again we enjoyed a wonderful 10-day stay.
Before arriving, I was slightly concerned after reading some negative reviews, but I genuinely do not understand the reasons behind them. We never encountered any issues. The food was excellent. Restaurant reservations were always possible; it was simply a matter of choosing the right time (after 8:00 p.m. they tend to be quite busy, so we preferred dining earlier).
Unfortunately, I do not remember the staff members’ names, but every single person made a real effort and did their utmost to ensure our satisfaction. During our second stay, we arrived after midnight together with friends. The next morning, our friends missed breakfast because they were still asleep. We asked the restaurant manager whether we might take a few pieces of sweet pastry for them. He personally selected the items, had them wrapped, and arranged for them to be delivered directly to their room.
On one occasion, our son forgot his tablet in the restaurant. Reception immediately contacted security, and the tablet was found the next day. We also made great use of the water dispensers, which we consider an excellent feature. The wines on offer are outstanding, as is the coffee in the lobby. The cocktails are very tasty as well – especially the mojito at the mojito bar, where they even serve nuts alongside the drink.
Upon departure, we appreciated the breakfast package (which needs to be requested in advance) and especially the possibility of making coffee in the lobby from the machine before our 4:00 a.m. departure.
Our room was always perfectly cleaned, and the minibar was replenished daily. Guests expecting towel animals or similar decorations might be disappointed, but that is certainly not a negative in our view. Housekeeping was otherwise flawless – they even neatly arranged our son’s toy cars :-). The young lady at the beach towel desk was genuinely surprised that we did not exchange our towels daily but instead took them to our room, dried them on the terrace, and reused them the next day. She always greeted us with a warm smile whenever we passed by.
The beach is truly very spacious. Those seeking peace and quiet can simply walk to a more distant section, while the bar remains just a short — truly very short — stroll away.
If anyone feels inclined to complain about the walking distance, I would gently suggest that, considering the high standard of gastronomy on offer, a few extra steps along the beach can hardly do any harm.
To sum it all up – in three weeks, we are returning to this hotel for the third time. And that is probably the best review we could give.
