The reception team was incredibly rude and made me sleep in the hotel lobby with all my baggage because i didn’t have my physical ID, even though they had it on their system from my previous stay which was a couple of days prior to the incident. The reception team was incredibly rude and made me sleep in the hotel lobby with all my baggage because i didn’t have my physical ID, even though they had it on their system from my previous stay which was a couple of days prior to the incident. I had paid through Agoda in full and non-refundably, and I live in Abu Dhabi, so I had forgotten my ID there.
They wouldn’t check me in, so I ended up sleeping in the hotel lobby since I arrived at 11 pm, even though I had paid for that night. No one even bothered to check on me or offer help, not even with my bags.
To make matters worse, the security came during the night and told me I couldn’t sleep there. So, I was left stranded with nowhere to sleep, even though I had paid for everything.
This experience ruined my trip, and it’s not a way to treat guests, since I work at a five-star hotel, i know that this is not a way to treat guests

Stayed at Rove for a night and was truly impressed by the warm hospitality. The entire team was fantastic, and a special shout-out to Hossam and Riyas at the Front Desk for being exceptionally accommodating and helpful.

I booked a flexible reservation for 5 days, planning to stay at Rove Marina for my entire trip. However, I later decided to move to another Rove Hotel.
At the reception, I was told that in such cases the procedure is to cancel and refund the original booking, then create a new booking for the nights I had already spent at Rove Marina. Unfortunately, this process resulted in a higher nightly rate, which I find quite unfair. My intention was only to shorten my stay at Rove Marina in order to continue it at another Rove Hotel, not to pay more.
That said, I really enjoyed the hotel itself. The property is modern and well-maintained, the staff are very kind and helpful, and the facilities are excellent. The location is about a 10-minute walk from the beach, although it is a bit far from downtown.
Overall, it’s a very nice place to stay, but I do think the booking policy could be handled more fairly in situations like mine.
