Exceptional Hospitality at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort: A Heartfelt Thank You to Nouman Irshad & Sreekanth and their Stellar Team My wife Priti and I recently stayed once again at this beautiful Beach Resort (April 7-10) and were utterly blown away by the warmth and professionalism of the team. A special mention to Nouman Irshad and Sreekanth, whose leadership shines through in every detail of this hotel's flawless service. We're already counting down our return on July 8th to celebrate our 35th Christian Wedding Anniversary on July 10th. Reservation & Check-In/Check-Out A single call to Sreekanth, secured our reservation seamlessly, complete with a room upgrade. Sreekanth, went above and beyond, not only fulfilling our unique room requirements in advance but even upgrading our room for added comfort. Diaa (Director Guests Service), Rajneesh (Duty Manager), Hosny (Team Leader), Rose, Tony and Umang - all Front Office team provided unwavering attention throughout our stay. Afrath (Guests Service & Marriott Bonvoy Co-Ordinator) equally ensured our Bonvoy benefits were exceptionally and appropriately taken care of. Camil (Secretary Admin), is brilliant when it comes to any Admin requirement which is done and delivered flawlessly. Views Restaurant Under Abhishek's (Executive Chef) leadership, the restaurant team delivered impeccable service. Joey, especially remembered for starting breakfast with papaya, which greeted us each morning. He made perfect coffee for me, in fact one of the best. Chami and other Views staff took equally good care of us and provided us with all our needs. Janet, in Views restaurant always welcomes us and other guests with a million Dollar smile and leads us to the table of our choice. Chefs Avaz and Uday are always there in Views meeting each and every guest ensuring their requirements are met to the fullest. Uday went to the extent of taking personal care throughout our stay in offering us food of our choice, which sometimes was not available in Views and the Cocktail Hours. Executive Lounge & Astros Bar Nurya, Raamish, Su, Rowena, Regie and Aftab were the epitome of hospitality, serving guests with bright smiles. During Cocktail hours, Chef Uday prepared divine chicken sandwich for me and a vegan avocado sandwich for Priti (due to dietary preferences). Thanks Chef Uday, and a big thanks to Chef Abhishek for arranging the excellent hospitality during our breakfast, hi-tea and cocktail hours. Housekeeping Bini (Executive Housekeeping) anticipated our needs flawlessly, arranging extra duvets, soft linens. specialized pillows, and towels before our arrival. Her team, Evi, Jabaid and Suhail checked in daily to ensure our comfort, reflecting their unwavering commitment to excellence. IT Any IT issues, contact Jamal, who not only resolved our laptop issues but also spent a good 45 minutes in arranging our documentation and the procedure getting an appointment for the Schengen visa. Thanks Jamal, honestly, before this it was a great struggle for us in doing the same. Concierge & Bell Boys Dario leading from the front is seen 24x7 and not only does the job of a Concierge brilliantly, but also assists in whichever way the guests need assistance. The Bell Boys are forever smiling and greet each and every client with a cheerful heart both during check-in and check-out. Spa Ayurvedic massage is a must, especially with the discount they offer. And go for the Therapist, Jismi. She is one of the best Therapist we have ever come across. Jismi, trained from Kerela is highly professional and her massage is outstanding. Final Words This hotel's magic lies in its people. sorry to say that the hotel has poor security in their alcohol service, which will risk the customers as well as the staff. If the management changes to more careful management, it will be nice and safe place to go to . This was our first visit for nearly seven years having stayed at the hotel on two previous occasions and had a wonderful experience. A few things have changed in that time including pretty much a new staff ,beautifully refurbished bedrooms and a significant shift in origin of hotel guests. The staff remain a major asset and are clearly set a very high standard by the hotel management. Upon our long awaited return to Le Meridien we were warmly greeted on arrival by Mr.Diaah and Mr. Sreekanath. This set the tone for the holiday and was a lovely, hugely appreciated, gesture.Throughout our stay Mr.Niro was forever on hand to ensure our dining experiences were all five star. Every detail was catered for to make our stay beyond expectation and make us feel very special and valued. Without a doubt, the staff make Le Meridien what it is. We were warmly greeted by every single member of staff that we met, whether within the hotel building, pool & beach area, restaurants, concierge or shops. Based on our previous experience ,we opted for the all inclusive dine around package. Whilst expensive, it offers a special dining experience. Gonu - never fails to impress. A stunning setting matched in every respect by the amazing service and food provided by the staff. Nothing was ever too much trouble, every request was met with a smile, whether it be tweaks to the ingredients in certain dishes or the addition of more of our favourite elements. The message added to our dessert plate on our final night “See you soon” sums up the care and consideration given to us throughout our stay everywhere that we went. That kind gesture was incredibly touching and so very much appreciated. The staff at Taste - I can truly say that on both occasions we visited during our stay we were treated to the best Indian food we have ever eaten. Additional dishes not on the main menu just added to the delights on offer. The service was second to none, efficient but unobtrusive. The Italian restaurant,Sapore was excellent also in every aspect as were both the pool and beach bars. The hotel & the incredible staff indeed make Le Meridien our “special & happy place”. Stayed here with my husband for 11 nights between 14th and 25th February 2025. We booked through Emirates, as this is an Emirates recommended hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I have divided my review below, into positives and negatives. POSITIVES * We were allocated one of the newly refurbished rooms (209). The hotel is currently undergoing an upgrade. Our room was beautiful. Very modern decor, very clean and very comfortable. We were very happy with this room. * The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the bed linen was lovely. * The shower was very good. Lovely rain shower head and a great non slip surface. The toiletries provided were nice. * The public areas and lounges around the hotel were very nice and furniture and carpets were of a high standard. * The staff members we met everywhere were excellent - waiters, chefs, bar staff, pool staff, reception staff, management - everyone tried really hard to make everything perfect for us. They were well trained and very polite. * The choice of restaurants was good - a large buffet restaurant, an Italian restaurant also serving lunch, an Indian / Thai restaurant, a pool restaurant for lunch and a Seafood Grill. Also a very nice bar on the top floor. * We thought that the food we ate in the Indian restaurant especially, was absolutely excellent. The Italian food was also very nice. * The areas around the swimming pool were very clean, and the sun loungers were very comfortable with thick cushions on the sunbeds. Lifeguards were effective. NEGATIVES * In our room, there was a very small step between the hallway and the bathroom, and another between the bathroom and the toilet. In the middle of the night, in the dark, this was definitely a trip hazzard and caused several sore toes! * The food served in the buffet restaurant was often too cool for our taste. They seemed to have difficulties in keeping the food hot. Sometimes the presentation of the food in large silver containers was not attractive or appealing (especially the fish). When we complained, the staff were very attentive to our needs and tried to accommodate our requests from then on. * We booked the All Inclusive option for our stay, but it wasn't really "All" inclusive. It was just "some things" inclusive. We found that the arrangement was very confusing and complicated. Sometimes our food and drinks were included and sometimes not. Some menu items were not included. Some drinks were pay extra. We discussed this with the management team during our stay. * There were a lot of children staying in the hotel during our stay. We prefer an "adults only" environment. * Other guests were predominantly from Russia. This was fine, but didn't allow much conversation or friendships to be formed because of the language barrier. * The beach is affected by oil from the ships in the Gulf. The hotel provided wipes and baby oil to remove this black oil from feet and legs, after walking on the sand. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel and we would certainly consider a repeat stay. It is perhaps more suited to families rather than just couples. Read less
