This hotel was everything we could have asked for and more. We travelled with my 18 month old son and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that he was always looked after whenever we went for dinner and the level of service was outstanding. It was a truly wonderful story. We would like to say a special thank you to Kivi who worked at Toro De Loco (the steak restaurant), and we sometimes saw at breakfast too, along with the incredible chefs- Chef Uraz and Chef Ananda. The food was delicious, the service amazing and the experience was fantastic. We already can't wait to come back! I would highly recommend this hotel to any families with young children- they have thought of everything that you could need. Read less

This was our 13th Visit to this hotel 12 previous with Hilton, overal we enjoyed our holiday, however Rixos has destroyed the holiday satisfaction and 5 star location that was the RAK Hilton Beach Resort, it is bearly a 4 star locationunder the new ownership with Rixos for. We visited for 12 nights, just getting back on friday. There are two areas of improvment from Hilton, firstly the entertainment is now first class, where Hilton Failed misrebaly, also the reception staff and Concierge attitude with Rixos is a vast improvement on the Hilton experience. These two improvements were not enough for us overal the main experience with Rixos is disapointingly poor. I must say all the staff and mangers we spoke to temnded to agree with our concerns and all asked for us to write a review as in their words "all the guests are saying the same thing, please write a review"!!!! So where has it gone wrong? 1. The Beach Bar. without doubt was a cental focus point for the hotel, where guests could have a refreshment and chill by the sea, was the busiest location at the hotel, it is now a Juice Bar called Zest, open for 30mins at 1630 before it runs out of juice. The Zest Bar has old Pallets made into seating, this has replaced to very comfortable seats that used to be in abundance. So the Beach bar was deserted for 23.5 hours a day. When you are at the beach for a swim or sunbathing you have to walk to the pool bar 500m or the other way 500m to the SOL Bar. This must be the only hotel in UAE with no Beach Bar!!!! 2. The SOL Bar used to have a full menu with food served at lunchtime and a full bar choice, we went only once and found Rixos have a take it or leave menu with Beefburger or Vegiterian Flap, there is also not the same choice of Beer or drinks. 3. The pool bar is largly unchanged other than only 2 staff most of the day and now no food served at all at the pool bar, where Hilton again provided a full lunch menu. 4. The Bars had no Normal Coke a few days also no Mint, Bananas or Cucumber for cocktails at all, 5 star this is not. 5. The main restaurant had not enough staff especially at breakfast where we waited for a long time to get a cup of tea or coffee, no cups or saucers on the tables. 6. The main restaurant had a surprise for us at breakfast as a RAT ran back and forth outside the two sets of double glass doors, sending some gusts into a histerical panic. 7. There seems to be a general lack of staff since Rixos took over mainly due to most of the Hilton Staff leaving, it was sugested this may also be a factor in the lack food at the outside bars and fact the Beach Bar is closed and reduced to a 30 Juice Bar each day. The hotel was said to be 60% occupancy and i would certainly not like to experience any greater occupancy with the dramatic lack of staff. Unfortunatly we would not consider the hotel for a 14th visit, certainly where the Beach Bar is not in operation. I must reiterate the staff were all very friendly and very helpful, even if frustrated with the lack of staff and constant complaintes from repeat guests regarding the Beach, Sol and Pool Bar lack of food. I was aproched in reception by the Hotel Manager and a Rixos Area Manger on day 6 and asked how we were enjoying our stay. They apeared to understand our constructive criticism and said they would look into it, however nothing had changed over the next 6 days. I have to ask myself how dificult is it to open up the Beach bar again!!!!!!! Back to Hilton Next visit this year i would say, which is sad as we really liked this hotel, as is obvious with us visiting it 13 times. Read less

We recently stayed at the Rixos resort and had a truly enjoyable family vacation, full of memorable moments and outstanding service. The hotel has undergone significant improvements since moving away from Hilton management, with noticeable upgrades, renovations, and enhancements across the property. A) Areas of Strength 1) Reception & Welcome Experience Our experience started on a high note thanks to Majd from the reception team. His warm greeting and professional demeanor made us feel welcome from the very first moment. It was the perfect start to a wonderful vacation. 2) Resort Grounds & Facilities The resort is expansive and beautifully landscaped, offering numerous swimming pools and relaxing areas. The improvements under Rixos management are clearly visible, with ongoing renovations adding a more luxurious and refreshed feel to the property. It's a great setting for both relaxation and family fun. 3) Room Cleanliness & Housekeeping Excellence Our room was consistently spotless and well-maintained. A special mention to Bal, who went above and beyond with his creativity—his daily towel decorations delighted our kids and added a lovely personal touch to our stay. His talent and attention to detail truly deserve recognition. 4) Orient Restaurant Among all dining options, Orient Restaurant stood out as the best experience at the hotel. The team, led by the exceptional Mahmoud Ali, delivered top-tier service with professionalism and enthusiasm. We were also very impressed by Saad and Ryan, who worked tirelessly with energy and a welcoming attitude. The food was consistently delicious and beautifully presented. 5) Kids Club & Activities The Kids Club is vibrant and full of energy, with a dedicated team that keeps the little ones entertained throughout the day. The wide range of activities meant our children were always engaged and happy. 6) Buggy Service The buggy transportation service across the resort was smooth and efficient. The team was extremely friendly and courteous. A heartfelt thanks to Danelo, Ehab, and the rest of the crew for making our movement around the resort both convenient and pleasant. B) Areas for Improvement While our overall stay was excellent, there are a few areas that the hotel could improve to reach even higher standards: 1) Turquoise Restaurant Service The staff at Turquoise restaurant need to be more proactive and guest-oriented. Smiling and engaging with guests can make a big difference, but unfortunately, that was lacking in most interactions—with the wonderful exception of Phoo, who stood out with her supportive and friendly attitude. Additionally, quicker clearing of dishes from tables would enhance the overall dining experience. 2) Maintenance of Showers Several showers across the resort need maintenance. Ensuring that all facilities are fully operational will definitely elevate the guest experience. 3) Pest Control We experienced an issue with ants in the room and noticed their presence in some areas around the resort. Regular pest control should be implemented more rigorously to maintain hygiene and comfort. Read less
