Highly Not Recommended. First time at this supposedly new Rixos (ex: Hilton resort). The main salt water pool which is the nicest but it’s the warmest. Family pool suppose to be temp controlled but it’s no where near cool enough for hot summer days or anywhere near Rixos Bab Albahar. Bar is too far from all location for anyone to get a drink in this “all inclusive” resort. No food options during the times 4-7pm except yoo have to call guest relations to order nuggets/fries and that it. 3 Ala Carte dinning options with no guarantee that one will get a booking and you gotta try your luck at 11:01am each day. Room is average, bathroom everything is tightly packed, ie toilet is too close to the wall that one has to sit sideways. Finishing all over badly done and not sure if this is even renovated. Family pool life guard was rude to me telling about pool rules where an inflatable bed is not allowed yet no where I’ve seen this rule on their pool regulation boards and he was arguing that this is the rule. Overall half day here and it’s been unpleasant and never coming back again. Read less

Staying at Rixos Al Mairid is yet another reminder that “five stars” only refers to the facilities — not the actual service or experience. The property feels dated, and the atmosphere is extremely dull and boring. Service is very poor and slow, with not nearly enough staff for such a busy period — very unlike Dubai standards. The drinks are another huge disappointment: bartenders are heavy-handed, cocktails are badly made (my Margarita tasted like plain lemon juice), and every time you order something, the answer is often “we don’t have this item presently”. For a resort of this size, that’s unacceptable. The food is equally underwhelming: unimaginative, lacking proper seasoning, and often overly salty. The menu seems to cater almost entirely to Russian guests, leaving little variety or international balance. To add to the disappointment, even the small snack area by the lobby is chargeable — something you’d never expect at a supposed five-star, all-inclusive resort. Tried to book all the other restaurants, and we were told they are all fully booked. If a refund is possible, I will request it in full and leave. The hotel room is another letdown. The walkways to the rooms smell of old furniture, and overall, maintenance is poor. In our bathroom, paint residue was left inside the tub, and nearly every piece of furniture, inside and out, is stained and worn. Even the kids’ club was a negative experience. Our children disliked it so much after one visit that they refused to return. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel. We are only on day 2 of a 5-day stay, and it already feels like a mistake. Spend your money wisely — this is not the five-star experience it claims to be. Read less
