245 rooms and 45 suites. All with air-conditioning, TV, mini-bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, WiFi, safe and king-size Sofitel MyBedTM. Classic Rooms offer 376 sq ft of living space, and are located in the main building with garden or sea views. With 1 king-size bed, or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Breakfast includes: buffet breakfast served at EAST.

Half Board option: guests on a Half Board basis can enjoy a buffet at EAST Restaurant or benefit from a full dining credit of AED 200 per adult to use at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah and Ritz Carlton Al Hamra, with complimentary meals for children at the buffet or from the kids' menu. About the professionalism of all the hotel staff in dealing with guests, starting with the car reception, passing through the reception, restaurants, housekeeping, and lifeguards. Also, I would like to mention the size of the rooms and bathrooms, the cleanliness of the pools, the beauty of the natural scenery, and the wonderful white sandy beach.

We stayed for 3nights on a half board basis at Sofitel Al Hamra RAK. We booked a family room which was a beachfront villa room with two queen beds. The rooms were spacious and really nicely done. We stayed for 3nights on a half board basis at Sofitel Al Hamra RAK. We booked a family room which was a beachfront villa room with two queen beds. The rooms were spacious and really nicely done. Each villa has about 5 rooms on the ground level. Only thing about room bathrooms were that when you turn the tap on the water is brown for a few seconds then it is fine (this maybe a RAK thing) The pools were big and there was so much option kids pool area with slides , family pool and lagoon pool was all very nice. The family pool has a good depth ranging from 1.2m thru to 1.8m at the waterfall area. The lagoon was lovely large and quiet and again 1.2-1.3. Food wise given we were on half board we had breakfast at EAST and on the last day at Reuninon because it was busy. Dinner we opted to stick to buffet restaurant again very small selection. They had a nice selection of curries but they only served with rice and had no option to have fresh Naans served. The buffet is a bit chaotic and needs improvement from a food perspective as food was cold by the time we ate it. Staff still amazing. Breakfast was not the best and needs an improvement , limited selection (some beef bacon, mushroom could have helped). Eggs sunny side up was never fully cooked , if you asked for a runny egg you got an egg with the top half cooked. Staff across the resort were always smiling and always willing to help. Buggy’s always there to take you back to your room when they see you walking. Staff were good from start of stay till checkout and departure. If we return we will opt for room only and eat out for breakfast and dinner. The pool side dining at lunch was great food was good and selection good. We didn’t have time to try waka or reunion for dinner so can’t comment on them. Read less

the hotel staff were very friendly especially mohsin, the food was nice and the pool was even better with an amazing view and an amazing feel that will make u truly feel like in a diff country. It is definitely a place I'd visit again and a place I'll recommend

Great weekend at Sofitel. Service and food were exceptional. Shout out has to go to Chef Abhijit and the team at Reunion. Amazing spreads out on for breakfast but the dinner at Reunion was incredible. The lamb shoulder is a must try! Our waiter, Reagan, was amazing. His attention to detail was well noted. We will be back for sure.
