The hotel

Warm and welcoming, this hotel is a haven surrounded by 500 acres of natural beauty and serenity. Rooms are richly furnished in French Provencal décor with floor-to-ceiling windows and every amenity you need to ensure your comfort. Just 10 miles away is the Arizona Snowbowl – a year-round recreational area made from the pine-topped lava flows and cinder cones of an extinct volcano in Arizona’s San Francisco Peaks. Here you can downhill, cross country ski and snowshoe to your hearts content. The Grand Canyon is also within easy striking distance as are many other natural desert wonders. After seeing the sights, relax during the evening at the Silver Pine Restaurant, serving chicken, steaks and their speciality, prime ribs. The bar is the perfect place to end the evening over an Arizona Fashioned, reflecting on all you’ve done and have yet to do!

The hotel is large enough to be a destination in and of itself, and the price reflects that. That is fine if you bring the family and enjoy the amenities onsite. If you just want a good hotel room and are going to spend most of your time outside the hotel, you can get a similar room at a much better price elsewhere. My room was fine--large,… Read more

If you just want a good hotel room and are going to spend most of your time outside the hotel, you can get a similar room at a much better price elsewhere. My room was fine--large, with 2 beds and a sleeper sofa. Had the amenities like a fridge, coffee maker. Nice modern bathroom. It was very comfy and great to sleep, but nothing too special to justify the high price. One very annoying and dangerous item: the entry to the hotel is not marked at all well. It's almost in an intersection, and shares driveways with a gas station. Some lanes are one-way, and it's very easy to go the wrong way. The hotel would be best served to move the entrance entirely away from the intersection and more clearly delineate the access points. Read less

This hotel stay was the first of several during our road trip. The lobby is bright and spacious. The front desk clerks were friendly and efficient. Our room was well appointed and we appreciated having the toilet/shower/sink area separate from an additional sink/counter area. It made getting ready easier. We walked down the road to Dirty Birdies Sports Bar and Grill for supper which we enjoyed. The hotel has a large gift/sundries shop and its own restaurant. The adjoining gas station has a deli counter and large selection of snacks and items for purchase. We wish we'd had time to enjoy the hotel's outdoor pool and hot tub. Overall, we were impressed with our stay at this hotel. Although it isn't fancy, it was perfect for a one-night stay along our route. Read less

Almost every year we travel through Flagstaff and stay at Little America for one or two nights and when we return through Flagstaff we stay again. We’ve stayed in different rooms at different times and we are always satisfied. The rooms are spacious, exceptionally well maintained, nicely decorated and comfortable amenities. Usually we can park our car very close by. Don’t forget to tip housekeeping, they truly deserve your consideration. The Silver Pine restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The menu aims to please and the staff provides timely and considerate service. However, it is the Chef that makes this restaurant a success I have never been disappointed. The hotel sits on a very large property with trails for walking around, sometimes the wildlife will join you. Don’t believe everything I say…try it for yourself. Read less
