Hilton Sedona Resort Bell Rock

The hotel

The wow-inducing setting’s the first thing you’ll notice when you rock up at this hotel – and you’ll soon see why its home has been dubbed ‘the most beautiful place in America’. But this is a hotel of contrasts, and the iconic fiery red rocks of Sedona are the backdrop for the shimmering waters of its outdoor pools, and the cool serenity of its spa. Standing like scarlet-clad sentinels, the famous red rocks can be seen as you dine on the poolside terrace at Blue Water Café – and, although it’s mere minutes from the outdoor adventures the scenery promises (and from shops, restaurants, and galleries) the hotel’s loaded with so many attractions you’ll never need to leave its grounds.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Don't get the breakfast option

This may have been due to the visible wear and tear—such as rusty bathroom pipes and dusty AC vents. While the exterior of the property looks luxurious and spacious, the interior of the suite felt outdated and in need of renovation. I chose the “breakfast included” option during reservation, which was about $50 more than the room-only rate. However, we still ended up with a $130 bill at the restaurant. There were no clear instructions on what was actually covered under the breakfast package, so we ordered freely—only to find out later that most items weren’t included. The lack of clarity was frustrating and resulted in an unexpected charge. Read less

Location is right when you enter Sedona. About 10 min from Uptown where all restaurants/shops are. Hotel was clean, comfy beds and pillows. Even gave me a bday gift: complimentary bottle and dessert. Very nice of the hotel! Spa was great-relaxing & pool. Regular pool is not so great. Felt like a motel pool & needs upgrade. No food or drinks available nor lifeguard. Lobby was nice & good happy hour. Elevators hard to find, I kept getting lost. Most of all: need more signage. More signs as to where the elevators are. And at the parking lot area. We didn’t know what parking area was near our room. Please label parking lot A,B, C, etc, near your room. Very confusing! Work on signage! Read less

Great views of the mountains. Lots of flowers on the property. Great looking pool, large gym, pool and tennis courts. Nice restaurant with outdoor seating and fire pits in the night. Spacious suites with fireplace and either firepits or balcony. 4* instead of 5* because: Rooms and hallways look dated, and I feel $800 is a lot. Housekeeping never came despite asking for which is strange. Finally, someone knocks at 9:30 PM (Yes, 9:30 PM) for housekeeping (Not turndown service) They have 20+ parking spots reserved for Diamonds but never found an open slot during my stay. So either there are too many elites staying or non-elites take up those spots. Parking is $20 even in this remote spacious place. Did not allow late checkout as Diamond members. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Do not book for a honeymoon! Seek other options! Deceiving hotel!

Honeymoon was a let down here! The pictures are so deceiving! They make it seem so resort like and full of amazing amenities but it falls short. The pool is basic and needing updates, the pool side food and drink is overpriced for what you receive, and the rooms in the pictures are not what you get unless you pay to upgrade! The breakfast is… Read more

The pool is basic and needing updates, the pool side food and drink is overpriced for what you receive, and the rooms in the pictures are not what you get unless you pay to upgrade! The breakfast is included on their website when you book but you find out there, it’s not included and overpriced! You also are charged $20 per day to park there and also pay $36 per day to use the spa amenities like the lap pool, sauna, steam room. We didn’t receive housekeeping because they didn’t tell us at check in you have to “opt in” for housekeeping services. I was so disappointed we chose this for where to stay on our honeymoon. I really wish I could give this place a higher rating because the staff is nice. The resort is run down though. The pool looks nothing like the pictures. The lounge chairs are old, broken with stained cushions. Really gross! The spa is really run down. I would not use the steam, sauna or shower. Very old. The lap pool and the main pool are… Read more

The lounge chairs are old, broken with stained cushions. Really gross! The spa is really run down. I would not use the steam, sauna or shower. Very old. The lap pool and the main pool are missing tiles all around. Don't be fooled like we were. The restaurant is very over priced and only mediocre. My husband had the $60 strip steak and it was full of fat. They are constantly making substitutions and not informing you. How do you run out of spinach ? Read less
