This property’s décor was so intentionally integrated with the landscape that I couldn’t tell where the hotel started, and the mountain views ended. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, there was nothing nostalgic about this Canopy location. A MODERN MUSE indeed.
I arrived early morning and the hotel lobby was immaculate. Welcomed by a warm and friendly smile, Nikki was exceptionally exquisite. Customer service is a heart posture, and she was definitely on beat. I was able to check into my room early, which was unexpected but always a plus when you travel early morning. Jackie (AGM)was present and working side by side “in the field” as I like to refer to it, when managers assist their team. This duo was dynamic!!
The lobby was expansive yet felt very cozy. The display of local artists paintings were outstanding. The rooftop pool was very inviting, the perfect hangout on a hot Arizona day. Zylo, the bar manager was super friendly and had a smile that could light up the room. He was very attentive and accommodating.
The room was fabulous(no pictures included-you will have to take my word for it- better yet, go see for yourself), the views of Camelback Mountain -I actually had views of other mountains within the Phoenix Mountains Preserve which was an absolute treat. Floor to ceiling windows, so again, the merge was marvelous. Erika -in housekeeping was so cheerful and communicative, she even taught me how to say “slippers” in Espanol—pantuflas. It’s the little things like that, I look for when I travel. The hotel was beautiful and smelled wonderful. Christian-housekeeping(manager) was very present. As a matter of fact, I encountered several members of housekeeping, and they all met me with a smile. This is important because I don’t know about you, but there seems to be a decline in customer service that is disheartening, so I couldn’t wait to do this review as this experience was very refreshing. Oh yeah, location, location, location. Tons of art galleries all within steps of the property. There was also a museum across the street. I didn’t get to do that, perhaps next time. As well as the complimentary bike rentals ( 2 hrs.), which is a great touch. The food was great! I am a vegan and sometimes come up short, but not here. The Nachos, Caesar salad, and Grilled cheese were each a hit!!! If you are ever in the Scottsdale area, you will definitely want to check out this property!!!
