As synonymous with Boston as the eponymous tea party and cream pie, Hilton Boston Park Plaza has been a landmark on the city’s hotel circuit since it opened 90 years ago. Reinterpreted for the 21st century traveller with a $100 million mega-makeover, it now adds contemporary décor and mod-cons to its timeless elegance. And you’re in good company, with all bar two US Presidents staying here since it opened. It’s easy to see why, with a top-drawer location near Boston Common. Of course, they wouldn’t all have experienced today’s attractions, which include a mammoth 20,000 SF Health Club, the nightly cocktail hour (well 5 hours) in the Library, and the New England inspired dining of its Off the Common restaurant, with Boston’s signature lobster rolls a menu favourite.

Richard is the best

We had a great experience at the Hilton park plaza in Boston. Check in went smoothly thanks to Richard. We also enjoyed the lobby bar and utilized the valet service which was quick and efficient. We definitely plan to visit again based on such a great stay.

Jennifer at the front desk is so nice. Very soft spoken. Not what you expect from Boston. They were all dressed so cute. Their uniforms are chic.
She gave us recommendations for restaurants and let us get to the room super early since we had 23 tragic things happen trying to get here.

First time in Boston, checked into Hilton Park Plaza which is very nice and staff are very friendly. We had a problem with our room (stuff happens) but Eury T. Took excellent care of us and made the whole issue seem as though it almost never happened.
‘Hidden’ charges??

The accommodations [2 rooms] met expectations. The surprise came when checking our charge card entries after returning home and found we owed an additional $42 per room. The money is not the problem, but what I view as a ‘hidden’ charge is. When I called to ask about it I got an automated system, then a Front Desk person who without saying anything transferred me to a voicemail. After the 3rd try I told him I wanted to talk to a human being to answer my question. I was then told that all room reservations included a $35 charge and with tax it would be $42 per room. The manager reported that was not a hidden charge as it was on the original Confirmation [I guess I missed it], and that all Boston hotels do this. He said he would email a copy of the bill, which I did not receive. Why was this not included when we paid ‘in full’ upon arrival at the front desk or at least when we checked out at the front desk. No one told us of this charge. Traveling is costly and I always appreciate simple, easy, and upfront regarding charges! It definitely as soured our experience. Since the hotel website has no ability to file a complaint I am using TripAdvisor.
