Hilton Boston Park Plaza

The hotel

As synonymous with Boston as the eponymous tea party and cream pie, Hilton Boston Park Plaza has been a landmark on the city’s hotel circuit since it opened 90 years ago. Reinterpreted for the 21st century traveller with a $100 million mega-makeover, it now adds contemporary décor and mod-cons to its timeless elegance. And you’re in good company, with all bar two US Presidents staying here since it opened. It’s easy to see why, with a top-drawer location near Boston Common. Of course, they wouldn’t all have experienced today’s attractions, which include a mammoth 20,000 SF Health Club, the nightly cocktail hour (well 5 hours) in the Library, and the New England inspired dining of its Off the Common restaurant, with Boston’s signature lobster rolls a menu favourite.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great quick trip with kids

We had a great two night stay at the Hilton Park Plaza with two kids (5 & 2). The staff was extremely accommodating to kids, in particular Brunilda in the lobby restaurant who made sure the kids were entertained for breakfast and lunch. Great location close to the parks, perfect for a quick stay. Would highly recommend.

I have stayed here a few times in the past and it has always been enjoyable, but I just checked in, and it was stressful. No mention of hilton honors member, no mention of how much of a hold on my card, no water offers and the room I chose at online checkin was not given to me, I was put in the same type of room but 2 floors lower... No mention of hilton honors member, no mention of how much of a hold on my card, no water offers and the room I chose at online checkin was not given to me, I was put in the same type of room but 2 floors lower... No information really given at check in, the person was not rude, but not friendly either. The room itself is at the end of a hall, very small, but clean. The coffee station is well appointed, Doors slamming, apparently construction in the room next door... random door wedge... I have videos of the noise, but can't post. Read less

The stay was delightful, fun with our family near the Public Garden. Mamadou, the door man who greeted us each time we entered and departed was warm, helpful, friendly, and kind. He made our stay extra special and we are grateful for him and meeting him. An extraordinary human.

While the hotel was fine, it was the special attention and assistance that we received from the Bellman/Valet associate Jerry that made a world of difference! He came to our aid with more than enough care, service and support than I could have ever asked for! He went above and beyond expectations and helped us during a difficult time. Thank you… Read more

I stayed at Hilton Boston Park Plaza Hotel on July 1 and 2 and honestly, I can’t say enough good things about this place. I was going through a really tough situation at the time - without getting into too much detail, let’s just say I wasn’t feeling very safe and was pretty scared. Jennifer at the front desk was absolutely incredible. She could tell something was wrong and was so kind and understanding. I’ve never experienced that level of genuine care from hotel staff before. She made me feel safe and looked out for me during my stay. The whole front desk team was amazing actually - just really warm and friendly people. The hotel itself is great too. Everything was super clean, my room was comfortable, and I got good sleep which I really needed. But the location is what really sold me - you can literally walk everywhere from here. I didn’t have to go far for food or anything I needed, which was perfect for my situation. I know this might sound dramatic but this hotel was exactly what I needed during one of the worst times in my life. When you’re dealing with scary stuff, having people who actually care about you makes such a huge difference. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Boston again, and I’ve already recommended it to friends. Special shoutout to Jennifer - you’re a gem! Thanks again to everyone there for making me feel human during a time when I really didn’t. Read less
