At first we were surprised there was no valet or bellman. But there was an outstanding and kind front desk person named Jay. She was so helpful and her kindness changed our initial disappointment. She brought our bags to the room with a smile and our room was small but with an awesome view and in a great location! The breakfast was good and the drinks in the bar were great! She is an asset to this hotel and my husband and I hope she will be recognized for her outstanding customer service. Read less

The Moxy delivered on what I needed: a clean room in a fantastic location right by the theater where I was seeing a show. Even better, I got a room with a view for miles across the region. The finishes in the room and bathroom were suitably upscale. The Moxy brand isn’t for me, though. The room was so small there wasn’t even room to open up my… Read more

The finishes in the room and bathroom were suitably upscale. The Moxy brand isn’t for me, though. The room was so small there wasn’t even room to open up my suitcase. The room didn’t have a desk for me to work at or a closet to hang my clothes in. The front desk was hard to find. The quantity of clever “word art” throughout the property was silly. Read less

Hotel was overpriced. Parking was off-site self-park, which is fine, but the rate the hotel charges you is more than what the parking garage would have charged overnight. The hotel-associated garage is also more expensive than any other surrounding garages, and with no benefit. It is not cleaner, safer, any additional security features, etc.… Read more

The hotel-associated garage is also more expensive than any other surrounding garages, and with no benefit. It is not cleaner, safer, any additional security features, etc. The air conditioner didn’t work properly. It was a hot summer day, so we set the air flow to “high” instead of “auto” to cool things down. When we came back after a couple hours of exploring, the room was 89°f with the heat blasting. The hotel repair engineer told us we can’t have it on high, or else the heat automatically turns on. He got cool air to flow again, but the room never really got as cool as I’d expect to be able to cool a Marriott room. For the price, the amenities were lacking. The room didn’t have a coffee or tea station. It felt like a motel with a Marriott price point. Read less

Hello, we have stayed at several Moxy hotels in NYC and always had an excellent experience. This location left a lot to be desired. We booked a river view room and had almost no view of the river; unless we peeked out the corner of the farthest window. The bed was terribly uncomfortable, pillows were flat, towels were awful. Food and drink options limited to none. At one point, there was no bottled water for sale. Free drink voucher for the bar was limited to one specific cocktail or house wine. It does us zero good to have food vouchers if there aren’t good food choices and/or no food choices. On our first night we asked for an ice bucket and were told you didn’t have any, I was given ice in a plastic bag. We weren’t offered a refrigerator until our second (last) night. We plan to return to Boston next summer and unfortunately can’t say we’d return or recommend your hotel. And we have always loved the Moxy experience. Read less
