I recently traveled up to Boston for a work meeting. When I saw we were staying at the Sheraton Boston, I was a little nervous due to my hotel snobiness. Turns out, the hotel is newly renovated (and in fact, still under construction on some floors). The Sheraton was fine but I likely will not be returning any time soon. Providing my HSH list below for the finnnne Sheraton Boston: Pros: - Room had stand up round table/desk in room. I have never seen this and loved to work in the room! - Connected to mall which has lots and lots of dining options and good shopping - Great meeting space and beautiful ballroom with super high ceilings - Very nice, quiet lobby. This amazed me since it is such a big hotel. But there was something very serene about the lobby Cons: - Terrible noise level in sleeping rooms. During day I had to deal with background construction/drilling noise. At night, my fire alarm made a constant clicking noise. When I informed the hotel, I was told “we have heard this from several guests and need the fire alarm company to come review”. Cool. Would be great if you could call the fire alarm company... I also was able to hear my neighbor snoring for two nights straight - Thermostat super stinks. The system turns to automatic even if you continuously place on “High”, “Med”, or “Low” - Very small room service menu - Smallest closet I’ve ever had at a hotel I likely won’t be staying here again but it’s a fine option for people that can sleep through anything. Nice hotel. I didn’t get to explore much but I think the location is good. Rooms were nice, large, and clean. The bathroom and room’s front entryway were particularly modern. Elevators were fast and readily open. One improvement would be room darkening shades.

We had a lovely long stay, and splurged to the newly renovated rooms with a view. The room was bright, ok size. The pillows are horrible, almost like plastic covered. Location is great, we didn’t miss the restaurant (closed due to reno), as there are so many options nearby. The hotel is large and the front office/concierge experience is rather… Read more

Location is great, we didn’t miss the restaurant (closed due to reno), as there are so many options nearby. The hotel is large and the front office/concierge experience is rather impersonal, you sense it’s a machine thar runs without much personal touch. But location and clean, bright rooms did it for us. We arrived to Boston on a Saturday evening and were attempting to check in to our handicapped room Hilton across the street. We had so many problems at Hilton that we got frustrated and walked across the street hoping the Sheraton could help. We met Glayson, Myat, Kyla and Al (bell captain). All 4 were incredibly kind and understanding. They were able to get us a handicap accessible room at a very discounted rate as they recognized that my husband is a disabled veteran. Al helped us tour several rooms to make sure needs would be met as well as offering suggestions for rooms that would be best (he knows every room in the building!) Glayson kindly got us the discount working with his manager, Myat checked in with us the next day in the lobby again to make sure everything was comfortable. Daylin was very kind at check out. Louis was very helpful with luggage on check out and the lead valet gentleman was sure to take good care of our car as it has special hand controls and we were worried about people being able to manage our car in valet. The pool and gym area were clean and very nice, the gift shop was great and the hotel was connected to the mall which was very convenient to Dunkin, CVS, shops, restaurants and View Boston. Cons- construction noise as they are remodeling the facade but this was disclosed to us on check in. Other than that the Sheraton saved our weekend away and we could not be more grateful. Would absolutely stay again. Read less

Couldn't possibly find a more perfect location. Near Fenway Park ( busy tourist season, we walked), museums, adjacent to The Prudential Center... Classy hotel.
