Tacky design but warm service and corner room upgrade is sweet. The room is also bigger than usual and in a good location next to Boston commons

We stayed at this hotel as a family for 6 nights as part of a Virgin package. Firstly, I would like to mention the noise issues which have appeared in most reviews. We heard no noise coming from within the hotel during our stay, definitely no nightclub noise, even though there were singers in the bar some nights. However, with any city centre hotel some traffic noise is to be expected and cannot be the responsibility of the hotel. As the hotel is situated at a major crossroads managed by traffic lights the noise was quite significant until the early hours but it is a busy city. The welcome we received from Lloyd at reception was great and friendly which really put us at ease after a long flight from the U.K. He explained all the facilities and timings for our stay which included a drinking water fountain at reception called Bevi which gave a choice of four flavours (changing) and a choice of still or sparkling water. A really nice touch which we used throughout our stay. Our room on the 15th floor was very clean and well appointed with everything you would expect from a modern hotel with some amazing quirky artwork. Beds were comfortable and the room had a good level of storage. The minibar was well stocked both in the fridge and on the dresser but was high priced as would be expected so we didn’t indulge . However , this meant that we couldn’t use the fridge for our own drinks and water. Food- we had breakfast each morning in the Gallery restaurant which was included in our package. The service was fantastic and a special thanks goes to Kate and Alex for looking after us at breakfast throughout our stay. The food was of excellent quality and beautifully presented . A good choice meant we could have something different each day. It was served on plates rather than a buffet which meant the food was always hot and fresh. Coffee and juice were plentiful and great tasting. Bar- the bar area was welcoming and well laid out with comfortable seating where we could spend time watching the city vista but the prices were very high so we went elsewhere as we did for our evening meal each night. Toni at the bar was very friendly as was Alex the Concierge who helped us arrange our transport. We would also like to thank the elevator fairy who magically changed the floor mats three times a day to reflect the time of day - a nice touch. The hotel was well situated for most of what we wanted, being only a short walk to the parks, the T, the city centre shopping including Quincy Market and the harbour area. We would like to thank everyone at the hotel for making this a great and memorable holiday Read less

Three of us stayed at this property for three nights in July 2025. My spouse selected the hotel and I would not hesitate to book again. Upon my nighttime arrival, the valet, Juan, had already retrieved my bag from the taxi's trunk before I had finished paying for the taxi. Juan remembered my name and greeted me warmly each time our paths crossed. I like that a hotel key is required for the lift for security purposes. Rita with the housekeeping team is a true GEM. She made sure our room had all the amenities and was so friendly and warm each time we crossed paths. Our room was spotless and well-maintained. The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to two T stops and it's easy to get a ride share, if you need one. A taxi might take a little longer only because I don't think there are as many as there used to be. The sushi across the street was delicious and having a panera and local coffee shops across the street is fantastic. Apologies for not including pictures with this review as I wasn't the first to arrive in the room. The team in the lobby lounge was super friendly as we waited for a bit after we had checked out from our room and before our late night flights from BOS. I would happily stay here again and do recommend this hotel. Read less

Nice Jr. Suite! The breakfast was good! The flavored water machine was a nice treat! Overall an excellent experience, and walkable to The Boston Common and some T stops! The staff was also very friendly. Only complaint was the food from the lunch menu -- not the best.
