Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

Clean room. Friendly staff. Amazing rooftop. Great location. Not a lot of space to hang clothes. Had prepaid my 2 day stay. After checkout I realized I still had a $124 charge. (I had had one breakfast and 2 bottles of water) Tried emailing, calling, leaving a call back number. No response. Tried to call hotel itself, no response. Finally was able to talk to a live human who was great. She said someone would get back to me. I then received an email that verified that the $124 was for the 2 waters and breakfast…ridiculously expensive for scrambled eggs, bacon, whole wheat toast and two H2Os Read less

I’ll preface this by saying your enjoyment of this hotel will vary greatly based on a few factors. I’m writing this as an experienced business traveler of larger size who was booked here for an entire week by my company. The staff was friendly. Plus for that. The room was clean. Plus for that. The room is extremely small…smaller than many foreign budget hotels. If you’re here for a night with a backpack? It’s probably fine. For a week with professional business clothes and luggage? No. It’s simply too small. The desk can hold your laptop, if you don’t want to set your coffee cup there too. The chair is also a tight fit for a person of larger size. No real amenities in the room. No fridge, no coffee maker, barely any hanging space, and even the clean towels are in the toilet area. The sink splashes everywhere just by running it (again, small) and the toilet seat is mismatched to the size of the bowl (likely because it was the cheapest plastic one available). The bed is comfortable enough, no real complaints there, and the room did have plenty of lighting and outlets. The AC got nice and cold. Appreciated as a person from a colder state who hates heat and humidity. The walls are thin. You’ll hear neighboring conversation. The street is LOUD. I’m a city dweller but there’s no escaping loud music even at midnight. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, fwiw. Just remember, no fridge for leftovers. The rain shower works, plenty of hot water. Personally I’m not a rain shower fan, but there’s a sprayer for some actual water pressure as well. The text message chatbot is dumb. You’ll need to call if you need anything. Would I stay here again? No. Not for business and it’s not for me. Read less

The room was small, clean, and comfortable. However, when I booked with them, their listing shows parking as included. However, that is not the case, once you get there, you either have to look for public parking, or pay their parking fee, which is $45, but you need to know how to get to their parking lots, which are 5 blocks away from their main… Read more

I had luggage so I had no choice to pay their valet parking, it cost me $70 plus tip per night (thank God it was just one nigh). Read less

It was a nice room and very relaxing. Kaur was very welcoming during check in as well as during check out. She was able to assist me with my room and transportation services. Greatly appreciated her help.

The best. From the front desk staff (shout out to Emily and Anthony who made our stay extra special) to the sleek and modern room. Our son love the room so much he didn’t want to leave! So many gadgets and doodads. They also have a robot that makes deliveries to your room. I told Emily I was running out to get some snacks and she said if I wanted, I could give her the snacks and she would have the robot deliver them to our room. We did that and my son got such a kick out of it he said that was his favorite part of the whole stay. She also put a rubix cube in there. It’s going to be tough to top this experience. Also, super convenient to the silver line, literally feet away. We would definitely come back. Read less
