Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

“Great location but beds are not the most comfortable”

I stayed at YOTEL Boston and was immediately impressed by the convenience — if you’re flying in, the transit stop from the airport is right beside the hotel, which makes arrival incredibly easy. Check-in was a great first impression as well; the reception staff were very friendly and took the time to explain the facilities clearly. We booked a corner room, and I’m so glad we did. It was noticeably more spacious than a standard room, which made a big difference since we were traveling with large suitcases. The bathroom was also quite large, though it’s worth noting that it’s enclosed in glass with only a curtain for privacy, and the door didn’t stay fully closed. The shower itself was lovely, but the temperature wasn’t always consistent. One of the signature features of YOTEL rooms is the adjustable bed, which sits up and down at the press of a button. While it does create extra space to move around, it also tends to disrupt the bedding, and unfortunately I didn’t find the bed very comfortable. A good night’s sleep is essential for me, and this would be the main reason I’d hesitate to stay again. Overall, the hotel is clean, well-located, and modern, but it falls a bit short when it comes to comfort — especially the bed. If location and convenience are your priorities, it’s a solid choice, but light sleepers may want to keep these points in mind.

Room too small impossible to communicate on arrival day Front desk does not care for your needs or are interest at all. Not convenient for convention center, although accessible from metro.
