Fun and futuristic, Yotel has found its spiritual home in Boston’s Seaport neighbourhood – its tech-driven ‘Innovation District’ is the perfect setting for this tech-savvy hotel, with Boston’s famous sights just moments away thanks to the subway stop in its basement. Inspired by the digital age and styled with a tongue-in-cheek nod to first class travel, guest rooms are called ‘cabins’, you get free superfast WiFi throughout, and you even check in at airport-style self-service desks (although Yotel’s ‘Mission Control crew’ are always ready to help). Even the social spaces are first class themed – from the lobby’s Club Lounge with its casual dining and complimentary tea and coffee, to the rooftop’s Sky Lounge, with its views over Boston’s skyline and harbour, refreshing ‘Cabin Cooler’ cocktails, innovative light bites, and playlists designed by its ‘Sound Architect’.

Where is it

In Boston Seaport’s Innovation District, this hotel’s near cafés, quirky dining venues, and social spots like The Rose Kennedy Greenway and Lawn on D. It is also within walking distance of Boston Harborwalk, Boston Children’s Museum, Boston World Trade Centre, Boston Convention and Exhibition Centre, and The Institute of Contemporary Art. There is a MBTA Silver Line subway station in the hotel’s basement, connecting you with the rest of the city and airport in just a few stops. Transfer time from Boston Logan International Airport: 10 minutes.

Premium Queen View Cabins are 201sq ft with panoramic views of the city, and 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 people.

Premium Queen with Bunk Rooms are 152sq ft with 1 queen-size bed and 1 overhead single bunk bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

First Class King Cabins are 318sq ft with 1 king-size bed, plus a queen-size sofa bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

VIP King Suite View Cabins are 487sq ft with panoramic views of the city, 1 king-size bed and 1 queen-size sofa bed, sleeping maximum 4 people.

Kat and Jack were lovely when I visited with my friends from out of town. Their energy and attentiveness as well as their warm friendly vibes made our quick stop pleasant! Would go back to that rooftop anytime as long as they are there-just an awesome experience

Cat and Jack in the bar upstairs were so cool. After a tough check in. They were so great ! They offered me some awesome solutions to what I wanted to drink. Very friendly and through. I'm very pleased with my experience. They made my Boston trip better.

Great environment. Kat and Jack greeted us upon our arrival. They were friendly, and took the time to answer all the questions. They were very accommodating, friendly, professional. true assets to the business. Keep up the good work!!!

The valet and front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but clean, great shower. My only negative experience was when I checked out my card was charged the amount that was sent on the folio, however they also charged a company card through a 3rd party website which I had used to book. The valet and front desk were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but clean, great shower. My only negative experience was when I checked out my card was charged the amount that was sent on the folio, however they also charged a company card through a 3rd party website which I had used to book. I called right away and the filed a dispute to reimburse my card, it was done within 48 hours but the amount refunded was different the the amount charges and there was no explanation. When I called to ask about it, I was transferred to the "front desk" 4 different times with no help, finally I was able to speak to a manager who did explain why the amount refunded was different then the charge. Apparently the folio I received at checkout had the wrong total, due to a system issue which created more confusion . I think in a case like this someone should have at least emailed me an explanation of the refund and explained the incorrect folio, the manager did help but was not extremely friendly she seemed more annoyed that I was asking questions. I also think that because my card was charged in error for the full amount and I had to deal with the inconvenience of calling twice, they could have made it a positive customer experience by waiving the late checkout fee. I would stay here again but would not book through a 3rd party, as we heard other guests had issues with the rooms available at check in. Read less
