Stayed here with the wife in the middle of April for a couple of nights. Better than I thought it was going to be! An older room that had been somewhat updated. Nothing spectacular, was on the small side but was clean. The best thing it had going besides a swimming pool, was it proximity to Marble Canyon and to the Sand Dunes.

this is my favorite death valley motel. I always go to death valley hoping to get the hottest days (had a 126 in '23) so taking beers from the bar to drink in the pool is pretty much what I do. but the dunes are minutes away and bad water basin is maybe 20 mins.

Perfect central place to stay in DV. Clean, good showers, nice pool. Staff is great. Breakfast, dining, bar, everything good. Do not expect 5 stars rooms, you are in the middle of a desert, so better drive on to one of the huge hotels in Vegas if you can not handle that.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Hotel was fine. Great location and friendly staff. If you need Wi-Fi, I would recommend you find another place.

The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. Pretty basic. We did get a king size room and it was pretty spacious. Room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. We did have an issue with the AC not working in our room. They sent maintenance pretty quickly and he could not resolve. He had them move us and brought us the key. The new room had a working AC that did the job well. The big issue we had was the Wi-Fi! It virtually does not exist unless you are in the lobby. VERY difficult for someone who works on the road and needs a good connection and high speed. If that is you, don't stay here. No in room coffee or microwave. It does have a sizable mini fridge with a small freezer compartment. The lack of Wi-Fi will keep us from staying here again. Read less

Loved Stovepipe Wells! Highly recommend staying here. Centrally located to all the sites and dark at night for awesome star gazing. The staff could not have been nicer. From reception to the general store everyone one was helpful and pleasant. We are in the Saloon and we're so surprised at the vegan and vegetarian options for us. It never happens. The food was wonderful. The staff we met, Violet, Laura and Paul were incredible. They also were helpful in assisting us with choices of what sites to see and their favorites. They were spot on. Could not have asked for a better group of people. We will be back ❤️. Forgot to mention, our room was nice and big and had a fridge. Very clean. Read less
