Pay to live at a construction site.

Under construction, unsafe and unhealthy environmental conditions. Construction seems to be the only thing that there concern with, and the guest are secondary. Drywall dust, no ventilation, water was shut off one evening, & satellite TV broke down off and on.
Don’t stay while under construction.

Horrible,,,under construction, we were not told when making reservations.. water was out one morning. Couldn’t flush toilets or tak a shower.very dusty..most of the casino seemed walled off. It was a maze of temporary walkways. We went else ware to eat. And play.
We had a great stay

We stayed in the premium King room. Nice clean large room with great views from the 12th floor. The hotel is doing major upgrades with construction throughout but still had a pleasant stay. Recommend Noel’s Coffee across the street and base camp pizza for Happy Hour.
Not a good experience.

Best part Dinner at Hells Kitchen. Construction terrible, not a resort ! No hot tub working. Hard to find elevators. No cafe! Had to walk to Harrahs for food. View in hotel room was a cement wall when you have beautiful Tahoe. Had to call for a tv remote and only 1 coffee cup in a Queen room. Valet and luggage were great service.
Not a 4 star hotel

I booked our stay for a night in South Lake back in March. I chose Harvey's because I wanted a resort experience for my family. The website gave no indication about CONSTRUCTION (closed restaurants, closed bathrooms, closed hot tub, 2 floors of drywall construction smells/noises/workers/unsafe conditions). Before our stay we received multiple emails about "your upcoming stay" which also said nothing about the closures.
We arrived to find a parking ramp charging $20 a night for hotel guests. What? I already paid $250, why am I paying for a place to park? Then we walked in to find an uninhabitable hotel lobby. My child with sound sensitivity immediately freaked out in this stressful atmosphere. Wow, welcome to your vacation, right?
The front desk was staffed by 4 agents, but only 1 was working. Standing in this noise for 10 minutes to check in left me wondering, should I cancel this reservation?
Finally got helped by the 1 employee. She made no eye contact, made no effort to be a friendly front facing employee. In fact she was downright unpleasant, but we got our keys and ventured upstairs.
Through multiple halls of Bob the Builder's worksite, we found the room. Damn! This "non-smoking" room stank of cigarettes and marijuana. We were able to move rooms, luckily.
The room had been remodeled in 2020, it was quite nice! Only have 2 complaints... 1) the windows.... The wind blowing through them all night long woke me up thinking I left a kettle on the stove. 2) the shower never got hot enough to actually shower...
Another thing about the construction that is ridiculous - they tore up the whole thing and doing everything in the wrong order; why not just pick one section at a time, if you absolutely need to keep this place open? I'm no expert but that would make the most sense....
So in all, whether this place is under construction or not, it's not a 4 star hotel, and it's definitely not worth the pricetag. I'd check out a locally owned motel next time.
