The Westin Anaheim Resort

Anaheim, Los Angeles

Star rating

The hotel

Ideal for exploring both Orange County and Anaheim, the Westin Anaheim provides a central location that is within easy reach of the areas biggest attractions. The most notable of those being Disneyland® Resort, which you won't be able to miss from the hotel. Grab a table at RISE Rooftop come the evening and enjoy the fireworks display with a little more space (and some great sharing plates and cocktails too!). Upgrade to a Park View and you'll be able to look out over those iconic rides and displays from your bed too - we think it's definitely worth it. The other standout thing about this hotel is the diverse range of dining on offer. From classic Californian fare to Mexican delicacies and poolside grills in between, whatever you're in the mood for, you'll be able to find it! With an outdoor pool and courtyard, this is your haven amongst a lively area, particulalry with those well known WESTIN Heavenly beds to enjoy at night.

Lifetime Platinum Elite member: Received no welcome gift upon check in but did receive a complimentary room upgrade from Deluxe Room pool view to Deluxe Room park view with a Juliette balcony. So, I'll take that. Our check-in was quick and easy, and the front desk agent was helpful, however I've forgotten her name. I want to say Shaina, but I don't think that's quite it. Our room wasn't quite ready so we went to Bella's pool bar for lunch while we waited. Unfortunately they only have two tables and both were occupied. We could have sat at the bar however our children are under 21 so they weren't permitted to sit there. Plan B meant going to the lobby bar for lunch. Our server, who was also the bartender was friendly and attentive. The food was also excellent. William, as stated often here, was welcoming, friendly and helpful. As was his colleague who filled in for him on Sunday and Monday. The club lounge was a welcome respite throughout the day, for snacks or cold drinks. Note that when William say it opens at 6:30, it opens at 6:30am. Not 6:29, not 6:31, but 6:30. The hotel is truly a resort not just a hotel. With valet parking, 24 hour room service, a pool bar, and it still has that new hotel smell which I suspect they pipe in from somewhere, much as Disney does. Perhaps that's Mr. Shrouts' influence. Everyone from housekeeping to the front desk, to the club lounge were friendly and helpful. The possible exception might be the servers at Bella's. We were there over the July 4th long weekend and they were going flat out. While I wouldn't say they were rude, I would say that they were all business and occasionally forgetful. The food and drinks there were top notch. Speaking of the pool, it's a great spot, perhaps a little small given the size of the resort, but otherwise very good, although depending on the time of day it can be a challenge to find a lounger in the shade. My only observation is that the tables between the loungers are a little small if you want to pile food and drinks for two people on them. There is unlimited complimentary sunscreen and you are allowed one pool towel per person. They do seem unusually strict about this rule. Another observation would be about Blossom, the market slash gift shop. We popped in there every day but it would have been nice if it was open past 6pm. I understand though that despite being in the Westin hotel, it's actually a third party operation. One final comment and this has nothing to do with the hotel directly. I keep reading reviews about being able to walk to Disney in ten minutes. I have no idea who these people are that can walk that fast. Our first day walking to Disney we kind of screwed up and walked down the East side of Disneyland drive. You cannot access Disney from there and you cannot cross the street under downtown Disney, so we had to backtrack. From the hotel, take the West side of Disney drive to the Disneyland hotel and enter downtown Disney from there. This is a 15 minute walk, possibly slower depending on your pace. From there it is an additional 10 to 15 minutes through Downtown Disney to the esplanade between the two parks. Plan on a 25 minute walk from the hotel to the park gates, but YMMV. Note that you cannot enter the parks via the Grand Californian hotel. However, you can exit from there, so the return trip to the Westin is at least 10 - 15 minutes shorter if you take this route. So we would Uber to the park in the morning and walk back in the evening. That's about it. This property will now be our go-to hotel on future visits to Anaheim. Read less

We’ve been staying at the Westin Anaheim Resort regularly since it opened, and it has consistently delivered a five-star experience every time. This hotel blends modern luxury with warm, attentive service in a way that few properties manage to do—especially in such a busy tourist area. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and immaculately maintained. The Westin Heavenly Bed is, as always, a standout, and the park view rooms are especially worth booking—you get a fantastic view of the Disneyland fireworks right from your room, which adds a touch of magic to your stay. The Club Lounge is another major highlight. It's quiet, elegant, and well-stocked throughout the day with high-quality continental breakfast, wine, snacks, and evening champagne —not to mention excellent service and great views. It’s one of the best executive lounges in the area. William, the concierge, deserves special recognition. He has gone above and beyond for us time and again—offering expert recommendations, remembering preferences, and always making guests feel truly welcome. William is a big reason we choose the Westin Anaheim over other options, and his level of service is rare even at top-tier hotels. Location-wise, it’s incredibly convenient—just a 10-minute walk to Disneyland, which is only about 5 minutes more than the much pricier (and frankly less stylish) Disney property hotels. For the comfort, quality, and savings, the Westin is a no-brainer. This hotel has become our default home base in Anaheim, whether we’re in town for work or fun. It’s everything you want in a luxury stay, with a personal touch that keeps you coming back. Five stars, every time. Read less

Nick and his team always provide world class service. Frances and the team are always professional and respond to request quickly. Great property, the only hotel I will stay at when on business in Anaheim.

The entire property is very modern, clean and attractive. The hotel rooms are spacious and offer good views of the park. It’s an easy walk or short Uber ride to the parks. The staff were excellent and when we had to change our plans at the last minute due to an emergency the hotel were extremely helpful and understanding ( something you wouldn’t get with many hotels ) We can highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Anaheim.
