My family and I traveled all the way from Miami to visit loved ones and of course, Disneyland! While we typically stay at a Disney property during our visits, this time we chose to try something new and booked our stay at the new Westin property just across the street. From the moment we pulled into the front drive, I was absolutely impressed, it’s simply stunning. We were warmly greeted by the valet team and then welcomed at the front desk with genuine smiles and a friendly attitude from the concierge staff. After a long flight and navigating traffic from LAX, it was such a relief to find our room ready upon arrival. Stepping into our room was a wonderful surprise, we were welcomed with a thoughtful amenity of champagne and balloons in celebration of both a birthday and an engagement. An incredibly thoughtful touch! The view of the Disney park from our room was the cherry on top. During our stay, we had access to the hotel’s club lounge, which offered a great selection of food and beverages throughout the day, as well as a private viewing area for the fireworks. William, the lead attendant, was a true standout, he brought joy to our mornings and made us feel like family. A special thank you to Ken Shrout and the amazing front office team, who consistently went above and beyond. Whether over the phone or in person, they were always ready to help and made our stay extra comfortable. Without a doubt, this will be our go-to hotel for all future Disney trips. The exceptional service, beautiful accommodations, and unbeatable location made the only 5 minute walk to the parks more than worth it! Read less

The Westin has everything going for it and has been our preferred hotel when visiting Disneyland since it opened a few years ago. We can't really think of anything negative to say about it, So the negative point below is the best we could come up with. Pros: 1. Great location on W Katella Avenue. We just love the tree-lined avenue which gives you the feeling of being on vacation as soon as you arrive. Only 10-15 min walk from downtown Disney or the park entrances. Turn left to go to Downtown Disney and turn right for the fastest route to the park entrances. Both take you about the same amount of time but going left and then north on Disneyland Dr is quieter and not crowded which is the route we prefer if we are not rushing to get into the parks. 2. Curb appeal and valet: The hotel looks and feels like a high end resort just from the entrance. The valets are friendly and fast - what else can you ask for ? The lobby is spacious and welcoming. Elevators are efficient - we didn't have to wait more than a minute every time. In general, the hotel has a high end feel and ambiance. If you don't like hotels with busy chaotic lobbies and a lot of noise, this is the hotel for you. 3. Rooms are quiet. We didn't hear anything next door in the three days we were there. The Westin Heavenly bed is very comfortable, AC works great and kept the room cool at night which is how we like it. 4. Rise Rooftop serves great food and drinks and has an amazing view of the park and fireworks at night. 5. Concierge Lounge: Wow ! You don't often get this type of welcome at many high end Marriott hotels. The two attendants (sorry but I did not catch their names) made us feel special each morning, always greeting us with a smile as we exchanged a few comments. We didn't make use of the lounge other than at breakfast but they have various food and drinks laid on throughout the rest of the day. in general, all the staff we met from the front desk to the bars staff were extremely friendly. 6. Lobby bar is high end and is open until midnight which allows you to grab a few drinks (and a bite to eat) after getting back late from the parks. Cons: We had to think hard of something negative to say here. So here it is - the slippers provided in the rooms have these little non-slip beads on the soles which make a lot of noise when walking on the wood floors. It may be better if they were replaced with one which did not have these beads. Read less

Loved staying here! It’s beautiful and the staff is great. And when I say that, I truly mean it. There is a gentleman by the name of William, who works up in the dining area. He goes ABOVE AND BEYOND! Not only was he incredibly gracious to me on a previous visit a year prior, but he remembered me on this visit as well. I showed up to the upstairs dining area about 10min after they were serving breakfast. I still went, knowing full well I was not going to get breakfast. I was more than happy to get a quick cup of coffee and be on my way. However, William, being the kind and considerate person he is, says to me, “No one leaves here hungry.” He proceeded to assist me in getting legitimate breakfast items that were no longer available at that time. I have never experienced better customer service than what William has provided. He is consistently going above and beyond. If someone who is reading this is capable of giving that man a raise, you better. He deserves it. It’s so hard to come across great customer service and William at the Westin is delivers that. Heck I would stay here even when not going to Disneyland. There is a club lounge for elite members. Has a nice view of Disney for fireworks at night. William and Dewayne were running the show at the lounge. There are awesome. I’m not a dodger fan but nothing but love from them. There is also a Rooftop lounge for people who are not elite members so all can enjoy the view. Check this place out! Read less
