The hotel

Full disclosure: Hector Elizondo isn’t actually the soft-hearted manager of the Beverly Wilshire, but the spirit of this iconic upscale hotel on Rodeo Drive is very much as it appeared in Pretty Woman: elegant, immaculately finished, and a true event destination that will enhance the glamour of any LA stay immeasurably. From Cut, Wolfgang Puck’s Michelin-starred take on the steakhouse, to the serene, Mediterranean-style pool, and world-class Spa, the Beverly Wilshire offers an unforgettable flavour of Hollywood highlife that’ll stay with you long after the credits roll on your dream holiday.

Well as usual this hotel does a great job at everything ,Ive given them the 5th star in the past and im sure I will again . This trip started a bit rocky as my preferred room had been taken but after an hour or so wait an exellent room of desired quality was provided . Turn downs and maid service are exellent here and everybody is polite and helpful . Transition from room to in house resturants was good both Both BLVD and CUT are very nice . Room service is exellent when you need it . So why no 5th star this time ,well I shouldnt have to threaten to leave to get what I was promised . It does help to call ahead when your car is needed if you need a tip for the day and im hoping the baseball seats I ordered will show up in my account concierge set up for me soon . Everybody should be lucky enough to stay here once and hope you get your collective turn soon . Read less

The room had a balcony on a lower floor so no view except of the roof but the roof was exceptionally large and such comfy beds! The coffee and pastries in reception in the early hours was welcome as was the location. The restaurant/bar on the road was amazing as you could sit there and enjoy a cocktail watching people and cars go by. We then did the same at breakfast the next day…be warned to Australians the breakfast is incredibly expensive but worth it for the location! A great hotel in a busy city and a perfect oasis from all the craziness! Read less

We have visited this hotel many times as we travel frequently to LA and this is always the only choice for a hotel. In fact this is more than a hotel, this is a home. If you need anything they are helpful and at your service 24/7. The hotel was made with everyone in mind. This hotel was perfect for us as we have a puppy and they treat your pup… Read more

If you need anything they are helpful and at your service 24/7. The hotel was made with everyone in mind. This hotel was perfect for us as we have a puppy and they treat your pup like royalty. When we arrived in the room, there was a luxury dog bed, treats, two bowls and the essentials for your dog! Read less

Most would know that the Beverly Wilshire is famous as the location of the 'Pretty Woman' movie, but that's a very small part of what this hotel is about. On the back of your room key is printed 'Welcome Home', and that is the real essence of what the Beverly Wilshire is. They have a culture that exists throughout all the staff to sincerely welcome all their guests for their stay, and to ensure that every guest feels not only that the hotel is sophisticated and professional, but also warm and welcoming - their home away from home. A central part of the hotel is THE Blvd restaurant, which consists of an inside area as you'd expect, but also an outside area that faces onto Wilshire Boulevard, the latter being especially popular for breakfast. Every part of THE Blvd blends with the overall charm and atmosphere of the hotel, and the available food ranges from casual style snacks through to sophisticated crafted meals. There are several other restaurants and bars in the hotel as well, each with their own characteristics and their own appeal. The location of the hotel is also a focal point, on Wilshire Boulevard at the bottom of Rodeo Drive, so designer shopping is right on the doorstep. For a stay in Beverly Hills, for us there is no choice other than the Beverly Wilshire. Highly recommended. Read less
