Hilton Los Angeles Universal City

Hollywood, Los Angeles

Star rating

The hotel

A Hollywood hangout with noteworthy neighbours, this LA bolthole’s just a block from the theme park heaven of Universal Studios, and just a subway trip from the star-studded sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. That hasn’t stopped Hilton Los Angeles Universal City coming up with a few extra treats of its own though – our favourite being FIVE on the Hill, where you can enjoy signature dishes and freshly-curated cocktails with Hollywood Hills in the background. Most make a beeline straight for Universal Studios – and, despite it being just around the corner, there’s a complimentary shuttle to save you walking (great for hot days!). And, while you’re there, you can also take in a movie, grab cocktails or craft beers, hit big-name shops, and dine at celeb-chef eateries in the neon lustre of Universal CityWalk.

Great stay for the family, very easy if you are at Universal Studios for the family. The valets were also very helpful providing directions and holding the shuttle. If your going to Universal this is easy, clean and family/adult friendly.
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Not up to Hilton name - Executive Floor is misleading, as no Lounge or benefits

Very disappointing treatment and quality of the Hotel not befitting of Hilton name. The Excucutive Floor does not rate at all with most Hiltons. No Lounge - nothing at all, unlike a rival in close proximity. Very disappointing treatment and quality of the Hotel not befitting of Hilton name. The Excucutive Floor does not rate at all with most Hiltons. No Lounge - nothing at all, unlike a rival in close proximity. As Hilton Gold I am always treated with respect for my loyalty whether choosing Hilton directly via the Hilton website or optiing for Hilton with a BA Holiday. Here at Universal City - it makes no odds. No recognition of status; no Executive lounge; breakfast ran out of items 3 days in a row - not replenished. Expensive and not up to Hiltom standards. 30 years of Hilton Gold counts for nothing here. Huge error choosing this hotel - they do not care less. Sheraton opposite has Executive lounge, and welcomed me as a Marriott Gold member to show me around - far more courteous and less mone- orientated. Sheraton seems more well maintained and caring. Will be glad to leave Hilton Universal City after this treatment Read less
