Image of the Tripadvisor rating Great lodge facilities, location, and staff. Just don't expect great food, unless you like junk food.

The facilities are excellent. Staff are friendly and efficient. The restaurant is sub-par for what you are paying for the rooms. There are NO dinner entrees; only lunch is available. So sandwiches, salads, and pizza. They have you order at a kiosk. You will need to provide your own utensils and water. They bring your food, and they never check up… Read more

So sandwiches, salads, and pizza. They have you order at a kiosk. You will need to provide your own utensils and water. They bring your food, and they never check up on you. They appeared to be short-staffed. Only two people. One at the front desk with the kiosk, serving as host and cleaning the tables. The other delivered you food. The location is perfect if you want to hike the upper part of Kings Canyon and the southern part of Sequoia National Park, both of which are only an hour away. Fresno is an hour away, so easy access to the airport. Read less

Rustic but very comfortable lodge, with very friendly staff and a few great things (freshly baked cookies, coffee available in the morning, a ton of board games and a beautiful porch). I would definitely recommend !

The hotel is not well maintained. Parking was limited and the front desk clerk was rude to me. This is not the original hotel, but a cheaply rebuilt version that doesn’t have the same charm as the original lodges. The park itself is beautiful and the park rangers were very helpful. Visit the park, but stay somewhere else.

We absolutely loved this place. The location is fabulous for King’s Canyon. Our room for three adults was super clean and way better than reviews suggest. It’s quite clear when you book that there is no air con. We stayed mid-July, it was 85 degrees during the day, the Lodge had set the room up with a fan, we opened the window (bug screen) wide… Read more

It’s quite clear when you book that there is no air con. We stayed mid-July, it was 85 degrees during the day, the Lodge had set the room up with a fan, we opened the window (bug screen) wide and had the best night’s sleep with cool fresh mountain air (x2). Super friendly and helpful staff, including freshly baked cookies, thanks team!! You are in the middle of two national parks and it was 100% worth every cent. Read less

I had my doubts about lodging in Kings Canyon Sequoia National Park… the people on the reservation lines were not super helpful. But once you get into the park, the communication really improves. They text us the day before to let us know if we needed any special request. When we got to the hotel reservation with speedy, customer service was really good. Our rooms were the two double queens. Very spacious and we were able to connect our rooms together so that our daughters and us could be close, but not that close. The water is kind of funky/mineral. Good thing the hotel has refillable water stations with filtered water. Hotel is located in same area as the Grant Grove market, cafeteria, so extra convenient Heads up, there is no air-conditioning, but at 6200 ft elevation the fans in the room do just fine Would definitely come back and stay there if I’m on the Kings Canyon side of park Read less
