The location of the Hyatt Centric was ideal. If you want to outlet shop or explore some of the amazing restaurants downtown, this is a great place to stay.
Within the hotel, you can't expect much in regard to food and drink and the room was not properly cleaned before my arrival.
Best experience

This hotel has the best rooftop pool in Long Beach. Beautiful views and a Ferris wheel in clear sight.
The staff is wonderful but McKenna really stood out. She went above and beyond to accommodate my last minute requests that’s made everything perfect for our anniversary. 10/10 would stay here again because of her at the least !

We had a king and queen delux room, super spacious and perfect when travelling with two kids. The room had usb and wireless charging which was a lovely touch. The pool was quiet (midweek stay) and kids pretty much had it to themselves, it was a lovely temperature even on cooler days and evenings. Great views from the rooftop area. Hotel staff all…

Hotel staff all super friendly but special thanks to David who checked us in and allowed us to access our room hours early when we arrived to store our luggage. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

Our favorite hotel for the Grand Prix!

Great room setup when traveling with an older child. The arrangement of two large beds, but at an angle, worked perfectly. Very nice hotel, cute little coffee shop/bar on first floor with very nice people. Close easy walking to a variety of good resturants (we didn't know Tiki Bars were a thing again!) The rooms were very quiet. If you go for…

Hyatt Centric The Pike Long Beach – A Solid Stay with a Splash of Chaos

Stayed here in early April and overall, I’d say it’s like that one friend who’s mostly put together but still leaves socks on the floor.
Location? Chef’s kiss. You’re basically in the heart of everything — steps from the waterfront, shopping, and more food options than my willpower was ready for.

Stayed here in early April and overall, I’d say it’s like that one friend who’s mostly put together but still leaves socks on the floor.
Location? Chef’s kiss. You’re basically in the heart of everything — steps from the waterfront, shopping, and more food options than my willpower was ready for.
Parking? Well… it’s across the street in a separately owned garage, so it’s like your hotel is saying, “Hey, we care about your steps goal!” Not the worst, just mildly inconvenient when it’s late and you’re juggling luggage and snacks.
Room vibes? Very nice! Well-appointed, comfy bed, modern touches — the kind of place where you could convince yourself you’re fancier than you really are.
Shower tile? Let’s just say it could use a bit of a glow-up. Nothing tragic, just a little “spaaaah day” for the grout, please and thank you.
Noise levels? Let’s be real — between the hallway sprinting youth Olympic qualifiers and the lively street nearby, it got a bit extra at night. Bring earplugs or just embrace the chaos.
Final verdict? Would I stay again? Yep. It’s just too convenient not to. Just pack a white noise app and a sense of humor.
