Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. “Wonderful end to our honeymoon at The West Hollywood EDITION”

We wrapped up our honeymoon at The West Hollywood EDITION and had an outstanding experience. The staff was attentive and made everything feel personal from the start. Our suite was beautiful — modern, spotless and thoughtfully designed down to the smallest detail. The rooftop pool was a highlight: incredible view overseeing WeHo, relaxing and not overcrowded. The bar also stood out with great cocktails, good food and an incredible view of the city. A special thanks to Diego from guest relations, who was exceptionally kind and welcoming. It’s rare to come across this level of hospitality — our stay left such a strong impression that we’ll be looking for EDITION hotels whenever we travel next!! Grazie mille!

“Very Pricey, but Quality Stay”

I spent three nights at the West Hollywood Edition. On prior trips to LA, I stayed at the SLS and W by UCLA. Of the three, this Edition was my favorite. The lobby always seemed like a lively and trendy spot, with guests playing pool or sitting at the bar. The location is also very good, and walkable to many restaurants. However, there is a steep hill coming up to Sunset Blvd. I booked a Deluxe Room with Terrace and was very pleased. While the decor is on the minimalist side, it was quite spacious. The terrace had a nice view as well. In the bathroom, the shower was roomy, and their Le Labo toiletries definitely smelled great. The boxed waters were a unique touch, as I had never seen them before. I had lunch once and two breakfasts at the rooftop restaurant. With the hotel's resort fee, you receive a $42 credit towards food/drink. Everything was quite tasty, including the chicken sandwich, churro waffles, and croissant breakfast sandwich. My favorite part of the Edition was their large pool with amazing view of LA. On two of the three afternoons, it was on the cooler side, but the water temperature was decent. On my last afternoon, it was sunny and warmer, so every lounge chair was taken. I also took a look at the gym, which was excellent for a hotel with plenty of equipment (cardio and weights). West Hollywood and LA overall has a reputation for pretentious staff, but everyone at the Edition was very friendly. This included front desk staff, housekeeping, the servers at the Roof restaurant, and the guys on the pool deck. The only downsides were: (1) the cost. This is a very expensive hotel, with my room being about $640 a night. Food was also pricey, but the daily food credit helps. (2) I get the minimalist design, but the guest room corridors were bland and beat-up. The gray carpet looked dirty and baseboards could use a paint job. Definitely not a 5* look. Overall, I enjoyed the Edition and would gladly return.
