The hotel

Sunset Boulevard is known for it's glitz and glamour, dining and nightlife - so the West Hollywood EDITION certainly fits right in. With it's sleek design, rooftop pool, delectable dining, and late night music, you'll be living the film star life here. Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. With music from all genres, you can dance the night away.

I stayed 3rd times within 3 years and it’s always amazing to be at Edition Hotel, which has uncompetitively a unique customer crowd and their collective synergy within not only West Hollywood and Beverly Hills districts, but in whole Los Angeles city.

This review of this beautiful and vibrant hotel is long overdue. From the valet service and front desk upon check in, to the amazing rooftop bar/restaurant with fantastic views, and to the best massage in the coziest spa, I love this hotel. The staff and managers are so friendly, everyone was so welcoming. The lobby is so beautifully decorated. The rooms are so cool, and we had a great view of the Sunset Strip. This hotel is in a great location, truly in the middle of everything. The spa was so quiet and cozy, and everyone was so very attentive to my every need. It was truly a world away from the bustling Hollywood just a few steps away! Spent a lot of time at the rooftop lounge - the food and drinks were great both day and night. The day had a wonderful view and a fantastic breeze that was just perfect for an afternoon cocktail. The evening view of the city was so wonderful. Our recent stay at The West Hollywood Edition exceeded expectations in every way. The standout feature of the property is the rooftop, offering some of the most impressive views in the area. It’s the perfect setting for both daytime lounging and evening dining. The food and beverage options were high quality, with attentive service and a relaxed yet refined atmosphere. We have stayed at some surrounding hotels and they just don't compare. Equally impressive was the hospitality we received from the entire staff. From the front desk to the rooftop team, everyone was welcoming, professional, and eager to assist. It’s clear that guest experience is a top priority at this hotel. The Hotel itself is well designed, clean, and conveniently located, making it a great home base for exploring Hollywood. We truly enjoyed our time here and are already looking forward to returning next summer. Highly recommended for both leisure and business travelers seeking comfort, great service, and an unbeatable view. Read less

The bathroom space was large, and the le labo bath products were a perfect to complement the vibe of this place. We tried out the rooftop pool, and restaurant, and the views were killer. Disappointed. I recall when this hotel first opened. The decor was stark, sleek and the lobby bar was a welcoming statement to the brand’s focus on lifestyle. Fast forward to my recent stay, a Sunday evening bar scene was filled with a drunk, cackling Bravo trio, some teenagers playing pool, two young women in bathrobes encircling some professional athlete and gaggle of young women with limited attire asking men at the bar if they were interested in having them join them. There is lifestyle and then there is a “scene”. My room was a bit of a disappointment as well. Nothing had changed, only aged. The furniture was battered, limited ports to charge electronics (why am I unplugging lights so I can work at the “desk”) and the blanket on the bed was trendy before we all learned what a travel black light would reveal. It’s West Hollywood and the room price reflected a level of luxury Edition is known for; instead I left thinking how neglected this property has become. Perched on the edge of Beverly Hills, one would think the brand would know when it’s time for a facelift. Read less
