A delightful hotel with great food and drink but mostly exceptional customer service/interaction. A real desire to please the customer. (All staff were great but honourable mentions go to English Rob, Sarah Graves and mixologist extraordinaire JC)

Newport Hyatt is an excellent experience. Staff is amazing, hotel is exceptional. It has a resort feel/vibe located right in Southern California. We look forward to staying there again!

“Definitely a Conference Hotel and Not for a Leisure Traveler”

The staff was amazing, but it is very clear that this is a conference hotel. My room was horribly out-of-date. There were rust stains on the door jams and on the sprinklers. The shampoo/conditioner was also clearly a low-quality filler. The coffee maker was also extremely dirty, so dirty that I didn't even use it. The food and drinks were also average, which was sad considering how separate this hotel is from some of the better places to eat in Newport Beach. The staff was very accommodating, though. I just wish they would put some focus on making the rooms a bit more comfortable and not just rely on the conference hotel pricing. Definitely not a hotel to stay at for leisure.
