Escape to the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach — this retreat sits next to the Upper Newport Bay Nature Preserve and is ideal for a bit of walking, cycling or nature viewing. You'll be welcomed by 26-acres of lush landscaping, before the newly renovated lobby and bar area lure you in with a calm, coastal California chic theme. Directly off the Newporter Lounge, is a comfortable patio with a firewall, hanging lights and magnificent views of the bay — and those views carry through to many of the guest rooms. Take your pick from three beautiful outdoor pools: chill at the adults-only 'Indulge' pool and find a restful spot at the 'Serenity' pool, or have fun with the kids at the 'Oasis' pool. Whether your passion is shopping, dining, boating, or performing arts, you’ll find it close by. Hit the beach, take to the water on Newport Bay, or wander the shops at Balboa Island and Fashion Island. Disneyland, the Aquarium of the Pacific and Laguna Beach are just a little further away.

Fun Stay at the Hyat!

Had an awesome stay here! Was able to check in early with no problem, the breakfast was really good at the Shor restaurant, drinks good in the Lounge. We found a quieter pool to hang out at and it had drink/food service, which was great. Having the 9 hole course to hit some balls around was fun too (free for guests!).
I would definitely stay…

Nice place to stay in NewPort Beach
May 14, 2025Marco P
Perfect hotel to be close to Hoag Hospital, just 8 minutes away. The provide wheelchair and for a small fee 1st floor room close to the valet. Room was nice and clean. Staff is amazing.
Restaurant was goo, but the bar food was great, and great cappuccino as well.
Great Mother’s Day weekend at Hyatt
May 14, 2025spark-10San antonio
The place exceeded my expectations. It had a special Mother’s Day event with lots of activities for family and kids. We had a really good get away. The hotel is dated but the rooms are renovated. The location is close to balboa island which we wanted to visit this weekend.
Aircondition stopped working
May 12, 2025Harbinder G
We stayed during the first 100-degree day of the season, and unfortunately, the air conditioner stopped working. We had an early flight the next morning, and my husband wasn’t able to sleep at all due to the heat. It made for a very uncomfortable and stressful experience. Eventually the aircondition did start but was an uncomfortable and stressful.
