My niece and I just spent three nights at Palm Mountain Resort. I booked, what I thought was, what they call a “poolside room.” The good: (1) the location of this hotel cannot be beat. Park the car, and everything in downtown Palm Springs is within walking distance. The room was clean. The bad: As I said, I paid for a “poolside” room. We were assigned room 111. Not only was it not poolside, you cannot see the pool from this room. I will attach a photo of our pool “view.” This was NOT worth the extra money paid. The ugly: the pool, while kept at the perfect temperature (84), was dirty the entire time we were there. If the pool had been cleaned by a professional pool cleaner, then they need to find a new one. The tile around the pool was just as gucked up first thing in the morning, as it was the night before. Leaves, dead bugs, etc. were floating on top of the water. I brought the dirty pool to the attention of the front desk employee, who then sent a hotel employee to use the net on the long pole to get as much of the floating debris as possible. Not enough. I had a great stay at Palm Mountain Resort & Spa, largely thanks to the exceptional service provided by Jane. She was an absolute delight - friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful during check-in. Not only did she assist us with getting settled, but she also shared great recommendations for places to visit in the area based on her own personal experiences. It was clear she knows and loves the local community, which made her suggestions all the more appreciated. While the service was outstanding, there were a couple of minor issues with the room. Although I booked a pool view room, our view was mostly obstructed by large bushes (Room 203), which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, the bathroom sink was clogged upon arrival. However, Jane was quick to act and had maintenance up to our room right away. The issue was resolved promptly, which I greatly appreciated. All in all, the staff, especially Jane, made the experience memorable. With a few small improvements to the room conditions, this could have easily been a 5-star stay. Thank you, Jane, for going above and beyond! You have a winning personality! Read less

Dori at the front desk made check-in go smoothly. She was very polite and knowledgeable about the area. The pool side room was perfect.

Stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is very close to all the shops and restaurants so we could walk to dinner, but is far enough away so it wasn't noisy at night time. Liked the fire pits but didn't get to use the pool. Would stay here again if we ever go back to Palm Springs.
