I never leave reviews, but this stay was so bad that I feel obligated to warn others. If you’re expecting anything close to normal Marriott standards, do not stay here.
Terrible Customer Service
From the start, staff repeatedly reminded us they’re a “vacation club” and not a typical Marriott hotel — as if that excuses rude service and zero willingness to help. If they don’t want non-owners staying here, they shouldn’t accept paid guests. The attitude and management were shockingly unprofessional.
Ridiculous Fees for Basic Essentials
Be prepared to pay extra for things every hotel includes:
Towels
Trash removal (unless “scheduled”)
Cleaning service
Nothing is disclosed upfront, and the surprise charges make the stay feel like a constant money grab.
Lack of Transparency
There were no clear explanations of their policies before arrival or at check-in. It’s no surprise this place is rated 4.3 — and honestly, that feels generous.
Misleading Even for Marriott Owners
We stayed here on the recommendation of a friend who owns with Marriott Vacation Club. We were even considering becoming owners ourselves, but after this experience, we won’t ever return — let alone invest.
Bottom Line: Stay Away
There are plenty of Marriott properties that value guests and uphold the brand’s standards. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.
