Its spot on its own bluff doesn’t just provide The Cliffs Resort & Spa its name; it gives it incredible ocean views, a perfect setting for its heated oceanfront pool, and the inspiration for the splashes of coastal blues that brighten its earthy toned guest rooms. Laying its claim to the beach below, you get direct access to the sands. On scenic Highway One, it’s just a drive from San Luis Obispo County’s championship golf, wineries and dining. But it would be hard to top the hotel’s own Marisol restaurant, with its ‘market-driven’ menu supplied by local farmers and fishermen, its bar winning accolades like ‘best drink with a view’ and hosting seasonal cocktail specials and a weekend brunch, a local favourite! And make sure you listen out for the daily ring of the bell to toast the sunset.

“WONDERFUL HOSPITALITY AT A GREAT PRICE”

We were blown away by the hospitality at this resort. All staff we encountered- from the bellhops, front desk, pool towels/service by the pool, room service- were so welcoming and kind. Each person genuinely seems like they like working here! We’ve been to many 4 and 5 diamond properties that could learn from the staff here. We stayed in a serena room with ocean views on the 5th floor. Loved the fireplace in the room. The room appears newly renovated and you cannot beat the ocean view. The only thing I can imagine keeping this property from being awarded 4 stars (it’s a 3 star property) is the small and dated bathroom. For the reasonable price we paid, we didn’t mind the bathroom.

“Fabulous Stay at the Cliffs”

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Cliffs at Pismo Beach, California. The property itself is stunning, with a spectacular location perched above the ocean. Truly some of the most beautiful views and scenery we have ever experienced. Every direction you look is breathtaking, and it creates such a peaceful, memorable atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The rooms were fantastic, comfortable, well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. The entire staff throughout the property was exceptional and consistently warm and welcoming, which made our stay even more special. We would especially like to thank Rakhi, Kelly, and Mikayla at the front desk. They were always kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, and they set the tone for such a positive experience every time we walked through the lobby. A heartfelt thank you as well to Lily, who took care of our room, and her supervisor Miguel. They were both so kind and friendly, and their attention to detail was outstanding. Every time we returned to our room, everything was perfectly refreshed, well stocked, and beautifully maintained. We also thoroughly enjoyed every meal at Marisol Restaurant, breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all fantastic. A special thank you to Nate, one of our servers, who truly went above and beyond to take care of us, and to Brittany, one of the managers, who was consistently warm, welcoming, and made every visit feel special. We would also like to recognize Carlos and Josh at valet, who greeted us each day with friendliness and enthusiasm. They were always helpful, offering great recommendations and making arrivals and departures smooth and pleasant. Finally, a sincere thank you to GM Gregg for leading such an outstanding team and maintaining such a high standard of hospitality throughout the property. It is clear that the entire experience is guided by genuine care and attention to detail. Overall, The Cliffs at Pismo Beach is a truly special place, and we are so grateful for an unforgettable stay.

We stayed the weekend and got lucky with Molly Ringwald Project! Second year of attending this event. The hotel was clean and beautiful. The staff was great. We even had a hand written card from the front desk wishing us a happy anniversary. Marisol, the hotel restaurant was fantastic, better dinner that the Westerly by far!
