Stayed here a number of times and just love this place. The staff are outstanding, the views and great and the location is convenient. The grandkids came this time and loved the pool with the waterslides.

We absolutely love this hotel. It is close to all of the major San Diego attractions without the craziness of being downtown. The kids absolutely love the waterslides, although it can be hard to find chairs at the pool if you arrive too late. First of all the staff was amazing and the resort is in a beautiful location! The resort fee includes 1 hour of kayaking/paddling and for up to 4 (we were so close to using but ran out of time). There's also a bike rental on site. I wish I could give it 5 stars ---This property I could tell used to be beautiful but is now very dated. The building… Read more

There's also a bike rental on site. I wish I could give it 5 stars ---This property I could tell used to be beautiful but is now very dated. The building itself looked really worn out from the outside. The landscape is not well maintained. The springs on the pull out bed were sticking out and mattress is very thin. I used points to book for 15K/night but also saw that they charge $ + points - If they update this property I could see this payment option justifiable. Read less

Check in was informative and helpful. My corner suite was very clean. Each day, housekeeping made sure the room was clean and fresh. The property is a bit older and shows signs of age. I like the character of the property and the location next to the park and trails. Easy access to San Diego beaches, Sea World, the airport or many highways. As a Hyatt Globalist I always feel valued and welcomed as family. It is great to be treated as a valued guest and much of the reason I keep coming back. Read less

I don’t know the precise history of this property, but it looks to me that it began with the tower and pool. Things like the restaurant , fitness center and market must have been added later. I don’t know the precise history of this property, but it looks to me that it began with the tower and pool. Things like the restaurant , fitness center and market must have been added later. So, if you want morning coffee, it’s a 250 yard hike down the boardwalk. Getting to the main restaurant is closer but a weave thru the pool area is required. There is no bar inside the main hotel. The rooms are fine, but the bathroom amenities are spartan: no glassware, only coffee cups. The marina view is fine but the place is noisy; I could have sworn I heard sea lions barking all night. For the price, this is my first and only visit. With that said, the staff was very nice and accommodating. Read less
