We loved our stay at this beautiful Hyatt. Rooms, service and amenities are great. The view from our Oceanview room was incredible! Our only warning to future guests who drive an EV, the hotel does not have chargers (super disappointing) it has 3 110V wall outlets in the self-park garage.

We spent five days at the Hyatt this month and were extremely disappointed in our stay. For starters, we arrived near 5pm and our room wasn't ready due to an "engineering issue." The front desk staff said it was almost resolved and would be only a "couple more minutes." (Lie #1). He offered us two free drink tickets at the Red Marlin, which we begrudgingly accepted with a 5 and 2 year old waiting to get settled. We got the drinks only to learn our room still wasn't ready an hour later. We went back to the Red Marlin to eat to get our kids some food as we were already two hours past checkin. The menu is extremely over priced (think $150 for two adults and two children). Finally our room was ready and they offered us free breakfast for our stay. Except, the catch is that they don't honor it unless you go to the front desk every day and tell them what the person said. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Oh, and by the way, your hotel room has damp carpets because you're on the bay, the door between the bedroom and living room doesn't close, housekeeping asks if you want to be serviced only for them to acknowledge you and then skip your room, and the external doors don't lock so there's literally no security to the hotel. Also, the pools don't feel clean as the water is very murky, clumps of other people's hair is floating around, and plastic cups linger on the bottom of the pools. Oh, and the kicker is the parking. When you sign up for self parking your key may or may not work, leaving you trying to scan a key, call for help, and ultimately paying via credit card just to leave the parking lot so you don't hold up the cars behind you. If you're staying in San Diego - look no further. This hotel is amazing! It was perfect for my short business trip, but I would definitely come back for a personal trip. There's plenty to do, a ton of things to eat, and the view is amazing! I could tell the families were having a blast and even just being there for work, it made the trip so… Read more
