Room was clean and spacious. Beds were great to sleep in, but headboard not being attached made alot of noise just from a gentle sitdown on the bed. This is resort has some outdated resources in rooms (tub, shower curtain, small sink area made of wood, closet in the bathroom). Not sure fully worth the price they charge nightly as a "four star"…

Great place and extremely great service. Everyone treated you like family and Niky was absolutely amazing. I would definitely come here again and spend some time with the family here.

Booked this hotel as part of a 3 week road trip to celebrate my birthday. Arrived at 4 pm room NOT ready . Guy on reception couldn’t give a toss . Gave us $25 dollar credit so we could buy a drink but can’t get 2 drinks for that . We had booked a marina view Suite but could only see marina if you stood on tip toes . We backed onto adult pool which was full of young adults shouting and swearing not ideal . Awoken at 2am by people above as walls / floors very thin could not get back to sleep .
Went down to breakfast asked for cappuccino and was told machine was broken not ideal .
Wife stood by toaster looking for bread asked where it was to be told “ no bread today it didn’t look great “
No toast ??
With that we went to reception and checked out it was one of only 2 bad experiences we had in the 3 week trip . Resort is old dated and the staff don’t seem to care . We had to borrow bell cart both in and out to move luggage . We definitely would not return. Sorry San Diego we didn’t get a true experience

Farting pillows is not an exaggeration

I rarely have health concerns when I travel and typically stay at high end hotels almost exclusively but I would not come here again. The pillow linens were clean but once you lay on it, the puff of air smelled like literal farts. I'm sure it would have been addressed if I told them to change it - but the concern is why does it even smell like that, like all 4 of them? At a hotel of this price point?
Whatever their cleaning protocol is, I got a sore throat over our stay and felt immediately better when I got home. I can't imagine staying there another night longer. I'm sure this review will be buried among the others.
Also if you're a light sleeper, the seals/sea lions will welcome you in the night and the walls were thin - or our neighbor just really liked to rearrange furniture. Guess we'll never know what it really was.

Waste of money

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. To get to your room you have to walk along a poorly lit path. We were looking for "Building 7". It wasn't a numeral, it was spelled out in cursive and not lit up, so it was hard to read. There was no courtesy shuttle and no room service. The bathroom had a barn door with gaps, so you could watch someone using the toilet.…

It wasn't a numeral, it was spelled out in cursive and not lit up, so it was hard to read. There was no courtesy shuttle and no room service. The bathroom had a barn door with gaps, so you could watch someone using the toilet. The other wall is shutters, so you could hear EVERYTHING. We put in a maintenance request, but no one ever came. There were no bellhops or luggage carts. Positive things: big shower, lots of towels, very comfortable mattress.
