Fortunately our banquets guy Adrian Teran cam to the rescue!! Adrian could see that things were not going well as I was trying to get set up for the class and jumped in to help. He went out and found me a flip chart and a TV to use instead of the projector I had planned to use and got it all set up in time to start the class on schedule. I was very impressed by his willingness to jump in and make it all happen. I hope you have more guys like Adrian on your team. He was amazing! Read less

Thank you to Chef Roy for obtaining dairy free food alternatives for my grandson who has dairy allergies. Thanks to Julien and Mariano in the restaurant for their usual great service. Enjoyed all the restaurants and food choices were numerous for both adults and kids and fairly priced especially for a hotel. We ate at the hotel more than usual because of this. This is a beautiful hotel with a great pool restaurants and amenities. Read less

The resort is next to several parks along the water so you can take a nice walk. Although the buildings are sort of old and dated, the gardens are beautiful, the rooms are kept clean and they have good coffee (Lavazza). Service is great. You can text anytime you need anything and they respond quickly. The location is central, between La Jolla, downtown, and the airport, all around 10 to 15 minutes away. Read less

We stayed here as my husband's business meeting was here. Let's say the general consensus of everyone was, let's leave and find somewhere better. The only plus I will give it, is the cleaners were wonderful and did a great job. Our room was tired and the carpet stained. It was so gross. the bed sheets felt like sand paper as they had been washed way to many times and were in need of being tossed. The place is pretty BUT not relaxing. The pool is busy, loud and if you take more than one towel they get angry with you. There is really no service at the pool unless you get up to get food or TRY and flag someone down. We will not be returning. It is tired, old and in need of a major refurbishment and the food needs to be better. Read less
