Honestly loved everything about our stay at Riu. It was in walking distance of pretty much everything we planned to do. The breakfast and service at the bar were excellent and appreciated being given a discount card to use at restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

The staff are mostly verging on rude, they are abrupt and surly most of the time. The breakfast area is run like a military boot camp with staff shouting instructions on where to sit, the hot food is cool/cold, the fresh fruit was probably fresh in May and the tables are “cleaned” after use with wet paper towels.
The rooms are tired and in need of redecoration, ours had cracked bathroom tiles, a crack in the bath, stains on the ceiling and poorly fitted blinds. The cleaning staff seemed reluctant to provide coffee restocks every day.
The floors are uneven in places and the carpet poorly fitted, these are a trip hazard for older or less mobile visitors.
CHECK YOUR BILL! I had a “package charge” added to my bill at twice the rate I was quoted. The front desk were reluctant to refund the overcharged amount.
There is so much choice of hotels in the area, I would urge you to choose another hotel.

We stayed here for a family trip and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was very clean and had a cozy, welcoming feel. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, great variety and delicious! Would definitely stay here again.

Floor of room above us creaked with anyone walking on it, let alone the kids that ran around well into the night. Bathroom was extremely tight with toilet and tub/shower smack against each other. Bed was comfortable. Includes breakfast was very good with some unusual treats liked slices salmon and mushrooms. I'm sure the location caused the higher price. Walking distance to Pier 39.
