This location was prime! It was close to the pier and most importantly, BOUDIN BAKERY! There was even a Trader Joe’s nearby! We were able to walk anywhere, or use the tour bus. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The hotel lobby and room were very nice, well decorated, clean, smelled good, and very comfortable! I’d stay there again! And… Read more

The staff here are excellent. Caring and thoughtful. The restaurant also has a great happy hour. But that's where the good stuff ends. This property has no business being a Hyatt Centric. It's a crappy old motel that's surely 50+ years old with some new carpet and paint slapped on it. If you've been to other Centrics you know they're modern, gorgeous properties with modern features. This is none of that. The rooms are old and gross. The bathrooms are even worse. Dirty bathtubs with nasty tile (moldy grout). Air vents with years of crusted dust and rust. Awful. Don't come here expecting anymore more than old, dilapidated motel vibes. You're much better off at a Holiday Inn Express or Best Western. Read less

I recommend this hotel, the room was spacious and clean, was able to check in a little early after a short wait. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Drawbacks were the lobby feels a little worse for wear (rooms made up for this) and the market had very little to offer, so need to plan ahead if you're looking for some basics for breakfast or… Read more

This was my first time staying here. My room was not ready upon arrival. But I did arrive early. The hotel was in a fun location—walkable to many attractions in the area. The staff were friendly, especially the Bellman. My room was quiet—I didn’t hear much of the city noise. My room was comfortable and clean.

We recently stayed at Hyatt Centric San Francisco Fisherman's Wharf to celebrate my husband’s birthday. As a Hyatt Globalist, we were expecting a higher level of comfort and service, but unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. First, we weren’t able to book our stay using a free-night award, which was disappointing and made us question the practicality of Hyatt’s rewards program in today’s travel landscape. The room itself had maintenance issues—a clogged toilet that eventually overflowed (luckily on checkout day), and a broken shower head that sprayed water outside the shower, leaving the floor wet and slippery. On top of that, after purchasing instant noodles from the hotel’s marketplace, we were told there were no bowls available to prepare them, which felt like an oversight in guest service. Overall, the stay just didn’t meet expectations, especially given Hyatt’s usual standards and the special occasion. We've noticed a decline in quality across some Hyatt properties recently, and sadly, this visit reinforced that impression. Read less
