Get the true Fisherman’s Wharf experience at this fashionable hotel. Hyatt Centric's red-brick design fits in well with its surroundings, and its arched windows frame famous attractions like Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, and The Embarcadero. Step inside and see its exposed brick and industrial accessories, but with a chic ‘seaside hotel’ twist. For a treat, grab your towel and head to the courtyard pool and whirlpool. And why not end the day with a glass of local wine by the fireplace — and maybe a tasty crab and clam chowder?

This was my 4th visit to San Francisco since 1988. This was my 1st visit with my wife and Son and this hotel was perfect for our “tourist needs.” This was the first time seeing Fisherman’s wharf and actually being able to walk around North Beach, Little Italy and Chinatown. If you really like to walk, union Square and Oracle Park are 2 to 2.5 miles away. Lombard St. is not far. Upon check-in, we encountered several employees with language/dialect barriers, but we got through it. We called and were told our room was ready, got to the hotel and were told the room wasn’t ready. No problem. They valeted the car and stored our bags. We decided to get some lunch. We crossed the street, walked a block, then received a text that our room was ready. There are many restaurant choices within blocks of the hotel. When we returned to the hotel, there was a young gentleman with a pink dress shirt, at the front desk, who was very polite and helpful with directions and advice. The room was spacious. Parking is $50/night and they charge a resort fee $37.40, so our Free Hyatt rooms via our Hyatt credit card were $87.40/night, not bad for a great hotel and location in a major city. The area seemed safe. Minimal homelessness and no big RVs parked on the street. Watch out for the Waymo’s. If ever in San Francisco again, we will definitely consider staying here.

Great Location, Horrible Service

Don’t stay at this Hyatt. I’m a Hyatt member and chose to stay here for the location. The service at the front desk is horrible. I stayed here for 4 nights and they weren’t helpful at any point. When I checked out, I asked for a bottle of water which is free for Hyatt members. However, they said no because I had checked out. I’ve stayed at many…

When I checked out, I asked for a bottle of water which is free for Hyatt members. However, they said no because I had checked out. I’ve stayed at many Hyatts all over the US and Internationally, this was the worst service. The people working at the front desk should be replaced or at least taught some hospitality.

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to Fisherman’s Wharf and the cable car stop. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable
The best part of the stay is the hotel is extremly near the wharf. It is a walking distance to all restaurants and fun.

I did not like the smell of the Hotel once you walk in. It is full of perfume and it is overwhelming. If they have tone down the fragrance the place will be wonderful.

Free bikes are nice but not great, they definitely need an upgrade, electric would be much better too so you could go to golden gate bride.
