We stayed at Stanford Court for 4 nights. We chose the Nob Hill location as it was central but a little out of union square - which we didn’t enjoy 11 years ago!

This is a huge hotel. I’m our room faced an adjacent apartment/hotel building and was surprisingly quiet given the central location. China town and City Lights Book Store, Union Square were all in walking distance. It’s very hilly so might not be suitable for the unfit or less mobile.
Our room was adequate. As Europeans we are accustomed to getting more luxury than USA room rates cost. That said, room was quiet, clean and had all amenities expected.
The elevators were problematic, with one totally out of action but we did have use of service elevator.
Wardrobe was inside bathroom, which we found odd but seemed to be a theme our whole California trip - little to no wardrobe space.
Gym was good. Plenty of cardio but perhaps lack In obvious space to do mat or weights.
Food was great. We had pizza and wings. Wine and beer were both excellent too.
A valet us available- we decided to not have a car in SF - which was a good shout as hotel parking is expensive.
Free tea, coffee and water in lobby was a nice touch!

Enjoyed our stay at Stanford Court. Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Free coffee for breakfast. Breakfast options were available in the hotel and not included with room. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Staff was friendly and helpful. We loved our stay at Stanford Courts.

The location is unbeatable, and the front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms are good spacious.
My only concern was the noise level. The windows appear to be original and haven’t been updated, allowing all of the street noise to come through. If your room faces the inner courtyard, it’s much quieter, but if you have a…

My only concern was the noise level. The windows appear to be original and haven’t been updated, allowing all of the street noise to come through. If your room faces the inner courtyard, it’s much quieter, but if you have a street-facing view, you may have trouble sleeping at night.

Just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at the Stanford Court. After arriving at the hotel at 6am following a 10-hour flight delay, Jeffrey on front desk was like an angel sent from heaven helping us to check in. Realising that our luggage hadn’t arrived, he gave us toothbrushes, toothpaste and other items to see us through the next day as well as providing us with the warmest welcome we’ve ever received from any hotel in the world. A huge thank you also to Sandra in reservations who arranged a room upgrade for us to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The room was huge, the bed was so comfortable and the views were spectacular! The cleaning staff were also so sweet and cheerful every day. We will always remember our stay at the Stanford Court with great fondness.
