Parc 55 San Francisco A Hilton Hotel

Union Square, San Francisco

Star rating

The hotel

One for shopaholics and sightseers alike, Parc 55 San Francisco is easy shopping-bag-hauling distance from Union Square — the only question is, do you hit the big-name brands of the nine-storey Westfield mall or the one-of-a-kind boutiques around the square? Its address also puts you a quick hop from Powell Street’s cable car turnaround, Yerba Buena Gardens, and Chinatown. Once you’ve filled your suitcase and your camera’s memory, you can enjoy the locally inspired dishes of Cable 55 (with its equally local microbrews), and Thai treats of Kin Khao.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! It was one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in, in a long time and would never have chosen this place on my own. Our company booked this hotel for us to be close to the convention center. This was, by far, the worst Hilton I’ve ever stayed in! It was so dirty, the chairs in my room should be used as wood for a fireplace, they are filthy. There was blood stains on my sheets (I didn’t notice until the morning because I came back to the room late and was tired and went to bed without checking but saw it in the morning when I woke up. The noise from the street is just awful, the windows need to be double paned. I checked out in the morning and moved to the Marriott. If management is reading this, you really need to do better or you will lose many more guests. You really need to upgrade the rooms, throw out the chairs and mattresses and do a complete remodel. Terrible experience! Read less

Just completely sub par. Not enough towels or soap. Crummy pillows Nice view with dirty windows. No free water in room. No place to buy sundries. The one thing it does have is location. Walkable to the Bill Graham civic auditorium and Oracle Stadium, the Metreon and SF MOMA.

Overall, the hotel has nice amenities and the staff were all great. The rooms are a bit outdated and our room had a leak that soaked the carpet during our stay. They switched our room quickly, but it happened around 9pm after our daughter was asleep. Breakfast is $35 per adult and $25 per child. Granted there is a $35 credit per day that you can… Read more

They switched our room quickly, but it happened around 9pm after our daughter was asleep. Breakfast is $35 per adult and $25 per child. Granted there is a $35 credit per day that you can use toward restaurants, but the price does not match the buffet. This is also not a good part of town. There is lots of noise at night from people who are outside on the sidewalks, as well as a lot of urine on the sidewalk . We stayed here for a conference. Otherwise, I would not stay in this area. To be honest I read the reviews of this hotet and was not sure if I wanted to stay here. The reviews about the location where incorrect. (poor area) When I arrived at this hotel I was greeted by Bellmen that instantly helped us with our luggage and directions to the Lobby. The front desk was so helpful. My reservation was under my name and I had just lost my ID (previous post). Marvis the front desk clerk told me no worries just call Expedia and they will add your wife to the account. I did just that. And what I thought was going to be another travel nightmare was made easy by a great front desk. My wife was then helped on check in by I think Alexa she was amazing providing waters and an early check in. Even the Manager stopped by to see if things were going ok his name was Kenta. All I can say is from the front desk to the room and even the bar tenders. This was and continues to be a Five star experience. We even extended another night just to enjoy the hotel. Parc 55, the 5 should stand for 5 star service times 2. We will be back. If you have a choice this is your hotel. Read less
